NEWFANE - Walter W.
Reackhoff, 83, of 3744 Hartland
Road, Gasport, Newfane town
justice for over 38 years, died
Thursday (March 30,' 1972) at
his home.
A native of the Town of
Newfane. he operated a
grocery store in Olcott during
the 1940s and later began
working in the carpentry trade
and built homes in the Olcott
area. He lived at 1550 Crescent
St. in Olcott until five months
ago, when he moved to 3744
Hartland Road, Gasport.
He was a member of the
Faith Lutheran Church, an
exempt member of the Olcott
° Fire Co. of which he had been a
charter member and past
president: was a charter
member of the Newfane Lions.
Club, and served as Newfane
town justice, for 38 years,
retiring in 1969.
Husband of the late Rose
Volschow Reackhoff, he is
survived by several nieces and
nephews.
Friends may call from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Rutland-
Corwin Funeral Home,
Newfane, where services will
be held at 2 p.m. Saturday. The
Rev. Robert Klingbiel will
officiate.
Burial will be in Corwin
Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to
the Faith Lutheran Church, the
family said.

NEWFANE- Mrs. Minnie Karnatz
Reackhoff. 78 years old. died
yesterday afternoon at the home
of her daughter. Mrs. Frank Linderman
of Hess road, town of Newfane.
After an Illness of five days, the
result of heart disease. She had
been ln ill health for the last nine
years.
Mrs Reackhoff was born October 19. 1862, in Germany. came to this country 57 years ago and since then had spent mast of her life in the Town of Newfane. coming here from the Town of Wilson. Surviving, besides Mrs Linderman are three sons. Peace Justice Walter Reackhoff. of Olcott. William H. Reackhoff. of Newfane. and John W. Reackhoff, of Lockport; five grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be held at the home of the daughter, Mrs. Linderman. Hess road, Town of Newfane, Saturday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock. Interment will be in Corwin cemetery. The Rev. Ivan L. Lange, pastor of the First English Lutheran church, of Lockport, of which Mrs. Reackhoff was a member, will officiate.
