John L. Brock, 77, of 537 Adam
street, died early this morning
in the DeGraff Memorial hospital.
Born in Pennsylvania, he had resided
in the Tonawandas the past
60 years. He was a member of
the local branch of the Orioles and
the Second Degree Lodge of
Orioles of Buffalo. Surviving are
his wife, Mercie, nee Ward; five
sons, Charles of Burbank, Calif.;
Cpl. David Brock and Pfc Robert
Brock, serving with the armed
forces overseas, and Daniel and
George, Tonawanda; four daughters,
Mrs. John Marohn, Mrs. Paul
Marohn, Tonawanda; Mrs. Edward
Tussing of Florida and Mrs.
Howard Hughes of Buffalo; 16
grandchildren and one brother,
Albert of North Tonawanda, Rites
will be held Wednesday afternoon
from the Hamp Funeral Home, 37
Adam street. The Rev. Clarence
A. Hanna will officiate. Burial
will be in Elmlawn.

Mrs. Mercie E. Brock, 77, of
937 Adam St., died last night in
DeGraff Memorial Hospital after
a long Illness. Born in Manchester.
England, Mrs. Brock had
lived here 50 years. She is survived
by two daughters, Mrs.
Paul Marohn and Mrs. John Marohn
of Tonawanda; four sons,
Daniel, David and George, Tonawanda,
and Charles of Pacoima,
Calif; 17 grandchildren and three
greatgrandchildren, and a sister,
Mrs. Currie Case of Buffalo. Services
will be Saturday at 2 p.m.
in the Hamp Funeral Home, 37
Adam St. The Rev. E. J. Cook
will officiate. Burial in Elmlawn
Cemetery.
