Albert C. Batterson Sr., 61,
of Lake Road, Ransomville,
an Olin Mathieson Chemical
C o r p . employe since 1936,
died Monday (April 23. 1962)
at Memorial Hospital. He had
been taken ill while at work
and was pronounced dead on
arrival at the hospital.
A native of Buffalo, Mr.
Batterson came to Niagara
Falls about 1940 and lived
here .for several years before
moving to the Town of Niagara.
He moved to Ransomville
from the Town of Niagara
five years ago.
Surviving a r e his wife,
Mrs. Helen Batterson, Ransomville;
three sons, Albert
C. Jr. and Gerauld B. Batterson,
both of this city, and
Roy C. Batterson, Town of
Niagara; two daughters, Mrs.
Dolores Westcott, Pekin, and
Mrs. Helen Bennion, Sanborn;
three brothers, Robert Batterson,
Derby, Russell Batterson,
Buffalo, and Walter Batterson,
Williamsville, and two
sisters, Miss Alice Batterson,
Buffalo, and Mrs. Willis Cook,
Hamburg. Ten grandchildren
also survive.
Funeral services w i l l be
h e l d at Cobler's Funeral
Home at 2 p.m. Thursday with
Rev. Elvin J. Riemer officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial
Park Cemetery-
Friends may call from 2
to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Albert Batterson.
Woodside drive. Town of Niagara,
celebrated their twenty-fifth wedding
anniversary Friday evening
with more than 100 friends present.-
at the Six Corners restaurant.
The table was decorated with white
wedding bells and centered with a
large floral piece of spring flowers
and fern. Mrs. Batterson. entered
the dining room, on the arm of her
husband, to the strains of Lohengrins
Wedding March and they
were seated at the head of t h e long,
T-shaped table. Dancing and refreshments
were enjoyed during the
evening followed by a buffet supper
served at the Batterson home
for close friends. Glfts of silver
were presented to the couple.
One of the features of t h e evening
was the arrival of their oldest
son. Albert. Jr. of the U. S. Army,
from Rome. N. Y , where h e Is s t a tioned,
making their family of three
sons and two daughters complete.
Mrs Batterson was presented with
a corsage of spring flowers.
