    chrysanthemums and white snap
    dragons, Miss Shirley Tryon was
    given in marriage by her father to
    Mr. Elmer Grose, Jr. The cere-
    mony which united the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. George W. Tryon,
    74th St., to the son fo Mr. and
    Mrs. Elmer Grose, 81st St., took
    place at Bacon Memorial Presby-
    terianChurch Saturday at 6 p.m.
    with the Rev. Ray K. Hallin offi-
    ciating.Mrs. Harry Coppock sang "The

    Wedding Prayer" "The Lord's
    Prayer" and "O Perfect Hour" before,
    during and after the candle
    light service
    and she was accom-
    panied by Mr. mEarl McCormick,
    organist.
    The bride wore a gown of
    French imported lace with a
    Queen Anne collar, with long lace
    sleeves pointed over the hand, and
    the torso was set with deep inserts
    of lace in the waltz-length skirt of
    nylon, edged in ruffles and worn
    over satin. A tiara of crystal beads
    and seed pearls held the English
    imported veil of illusion which
    was corded on the borders and en-
    hanced with mother-of-pearl se-
    quins. She carried a bouquet of
    pink sweetheart roses and stephanotis.
    centered with a white orchid.
    Miss Freda Hageman, maid-ofhonor,
    chose a strapless gown of
    mauve nylon tulle with an aqua
    trim. The ruffled bodice was .trimmed
    in lilac with a bouffant ruffled
    skirt of nylon tulle over net over
    taffeta scattered with lilacs. She
    wore a ruffled stole and a bonnet
    with a face veil covered with for-
    get-me-nots and carried a bouquet
    of yellow roses and blue iris.
    Mr. Robert Grose was.best man,

    and the ushers were Mr. Harold
    Best and Mr. Rolland Jacobs, Lockport.
    For the reception held at the
    Prospect House from 7 to. 10 p. m.
    following the ceremony, the mother
    of the bride received the guests
    in a pink taffeta frock over gray
    lace in redingote style with pink
    and gray accessories, and completed
    with a corsage of pink camellias
    and yellow roses.
    The mother of the bridegroom
    favored a navy blue crepe twopiece
    dressmaker oufit with which
    she wore, pink accessories and a
    corsage of white camellias and pink
    roses.
    Mrs. William Koller, grandmother
    of the.bridegroom was attired in
    a blue and white print, with which
    she wore a double corsage of white
    camellias.
    For their wedding trip to Quebec

    City and Montreal, Quebec,
    the bride departed in a two piece
    gray dress with a black velvet trim.
    She completed the ensemble with
    red accessories and a white orchid
    corsage.
    Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs.
    Grose will be at home at 205 69th
    St.

    Ex-Parent By Proxy Was Active In Church
    LEWISBURG, Pa. - Verna W. (Koller) Grose, 90, of Kelly Apartments, Rural Route 5, died Wednesday (Aug. 24, 1994) at the Evangelical Community Hospital. She born in Porter on Feb. 9, 1904, the daughter of William and Alice (Hillman) Koller Jr. She was formerly employed for more than 20 years by Parents By Proxy of Niagara Falls. She was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church of Niagara Falls and a friend of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg since 1988. Mrs. Grose was the widow of Elmer A. Grose, who died in January 1973. Mrs. Grose is survived by two sons, Robert W. Grose of Sebring, Fla., and Elmer Grose Jr. of Lewisburg; a brother, Elton Koller of Sanborn; two sisters, Marjorie Margolin of Rochester and Irene Pellegrino of Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren She was the sister of the late Florence Rohring and Alice Jacobs. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Drive, where the Rev. Lawrance (sic-sp) Herfurth, pastor emeritus, will conduct services at 1 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in Niagara Falls Memorial Park Cemetery, Town of Lewiston. Memorials may be made to the Grace Lutheran Church, 716 Cayuga Drive. Funeral arrangements were made by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Lewisburg, Pa.

    funeral of William Koller was held
    yesterday at 2 o'clock from the
    home and 2:30 o'clock at St. Peter's
    Evangelical Lutheran church. The
    Rev. Carl Oldach officiated. The
    bearers were Milton Swann, Fred
    Rohring. William Gelseler. Herbert
    Seeloff. Fred Fredericks and Leonard
    Schultz. Interment was in St.
    Peter's cemetery-

    M. Koller, 85, who died Saturday
    (April 27, 1968) in Mount
    View Hospital, Lockport, where
    she had been a patient for a
    month..
    She was bom in Germany
    Oct. 5, 1882, and came to the
    United States when a young
    child. She was a member of St.
    Peter's Lutheran Church, North
    Ridge.
    She - is survived by five
    daughters, Mrs. Howard (Florence)
    Rohring, Mrs. Elmer
    (Verna) Grose, Mrs. Valentine
    (Irene) Pelegrino, all of this
    city; Mrs. Walter (Alice) Roh-
    ring, Gasport; and Miss Marjorie
    Koller, Rochester; one son,
    Elton Koller, Bergholtz; a sister,
    Mrs. Albert Donner, Lockport;
    two brothers, Rudolph
    Hillman, of North Ridge, and
    Charles Hillman, Ransomville;
    seven grandchildren and 24
    great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the
    Hardison Funeral Home, Lewiston,
    and at 2 p.m. at St. Pet-
    er's Luliheran Church, North
    Ridge, with the Rev. David
    Musail officiating. Burial will
    be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the
    funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m.
