    Obituary of Rosalie Manuszewski

    Rosalie (Ordian) Manuszewski, 75, ex-resident of Buffalo, New York, and currently a resident of Binghamton, New York, passed away on November 11, 2015, at the Susquehanna Nursing Home after a lengthy illness. She was born in 1940 in North Tonawanda, the daughter of the late Yolan and Nicholas J. Ordian. Her husband, Thomas Manuszewski, predeceased her.


    Rosalie, known to many as Rosie, grew up on Nash Road in the Town of Wheatfield. She graduated from North Tonawanda High School in 1958. Over the years she had been employed at the Marine Trust Bank, secretary in various medical offices, and the First Presbyterian Church of Buffalo. In her spare time Rosie taught microwave cooking, provided care for several elderly women in the community, volunteered at the Buffalo Psychiatric Hospital, and ushered at Kleinhan’s Music Hall. She was an excellent cook, especially in Hungarian dishes and pastries.


    Rosalie is survived by her son, Paul (Sasha Fassett) Manuszewski and her daughter, Kim (Dru) Embry-all residing in Binghamton. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Julian Manuszewski, Astoria, New York; Zoe Manuszewski, Bar Harbor, Maine; Michael Petersen, West Palm Beach, Florida; Jenny-Rebecca, Elizabeth, and Thomas Embry-all of Binghamton,New York; and her brother, Nicholas E. (Bernadette) Ordian of the Town of Wheatfield, in addition to nieces and nephews.


    There is no prior visitation as Rosalie donated her remains to the Syracuse University School of Medicine. A memorial service will take place on November 27, 2015, at 5 p.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church on Niagara Falls Boulevard in North Tonawanda.

    TOWN OF WHEATFIELD — Yolan (Sipos) Ordian, 95, a longtime resident of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away on June 17, 2010, at Delaware Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Buffalo, NY, after a short illness. Prior to the nursing home, Yolan lived with her daughter in Buffalo since 2006. She was born in 1915 in Buffalo, the daughter of the late Rosa and Bertalan Sipos. Her husband, Nicholas J. Ordian, predeceased her in 1973. She had been employed at Dunlap Tire in Tonawanda; the Wurlitzer Plant in North Tonawanda; and Jenss Department Store in Tonawanda and the Summit Park Mall. Yolan had been a member of the Adams Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She had been a Sunday school teacher, choir director, and church organist at the Hungarian Reformed Church in Riverside. She was an avid reader, birder, did many pieces of needlepoint, and made many afghans, making sure each of her grandchildren had at least one. She is survived by her son, Nicholas E. (Bernadette) Ordian of the Town of Wheatfield; and her daughter, Rosalie (late Thomas) Manuszewski; her four grandchildren, Kim Embry, Michele Lundberg, Paul Manuszewski, Theresa Dick; and ten great-grandchildren. She is fondly remembered as "Auntie Jo" by many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by her brother, Ernest (late Evelyn) Sipos of Kenmore, NY. There is No Prior visitation. A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date. Interment at Elmlawn Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family.     -Mrs. Theresa Syposs. 64, of RD 2,
    Nash road, died yesterday at the De-
    Graff Memorial hospital, following
    a short illness. Mrs. Syposs was bom
    in Hungary and had lived in this area
    for 46 years.
    She is survived by her husband,
    Bert Syposs; two sons, Nicholas Ordian
    and Edward Ordian; three
    daughters. Mrs. - Julia Skop. Mrs.
    Margaret Elinski and Mrs. Mary Bajorek;
    two stepsons, Andrew and
    Bert Syposs; two stepdaughters, Mrs.

    Thompson, and 22 grandchildren, all
    of this city.
    Funeral services will be held tomorrow
    at 8:45 a. m. from the Skonski
    Funeral home and at 9 o'clock at
