    will take place at the home of the
    bride-elect, in Saunders Settlement
    road, on Thursday, April 24, at 2 p.
    m. An open reception will be held

    -The home of Mr.
    and Mrs. Mervyn W. Treichler in
    Saunders Settlement road here was
    trie scene of a lovely spring wedding
    on Thursday at 2 p. m. when their
    only daughter, Norlne, was united
    in mariage to Kenneth Bodie, son
    of Mr. and Mrs.Erwin C. Bodie, of
    Pearl street.
    . The young couple took their.vows
    under an arch banked with spring
    flowers. The Rev. P. L. Harburn,
    pastor of the Methodist church, performed
    the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs.
    Chester Ptaszymskl, of Buffalo,
    played the wedding music and a
    march on violin and piano preceding
    -the ceremony. Jack Emmet, of
    North Tonawanda. sang'"For You"
    and "O Promise Me."
    ___The bride was a vision of loveliness
    In a gown of. bridal white
    sheer chiffon fashioned with
    quaint starlet neckline and sweetheart
    bodice over a full gathered
    skirt. Short puffed sleeves was a
    note of piquancy. The fingertip
    veil, also of sheer chiffon, was arranged
    with tlarra of gardenias.
    She carried a shower bouquet of
    white roses and lily-of-the-valley.
    Miss Bettle Smith, of North Tonawanda,
    was maid of honor and
    wore white net trimmed with blue
    print pique made with-sweetheart
    neckline and full skirt. She carried
    a bouquet of spring flowers
    and wore a gardenia In her hair.
    Keith Lemke, nephew of the
    groom, carried the ring on a white
    satin pillow.-He was dressed in
    yellow. Dan Beecher, of Maple
    street, acted as best man
    The bride's mother wore blue and
    white sheer with corsage of yel-
    low roses and daisies. The groom's
    mother wore black and white net
    with corsage of yellow roses and
    saidies. Mrs. Ptaszynaski wore blue
    sheer and a corsage of tallsman
    roses and sweeetpeas.
    A luncheon followed the ceremo-
    ny. The bride's table was covered
    with a lovely hand-made lace cloth
    centered with white sweetpeas, lily-
    of-the-valley, tall white tapers and
    a three-tier wedding cake. About
    50 guests attended. Those from out-
    of-town were from Buffalo, Toronto,
    Ont., Niagara Falls, North Tona-
    wanda, Lockport, Wilson and New-
    fane. Many friends and relatives
    attended the open reception that
    followed the wedding. The couple
    left on a short wedding trip over
    the weekend. The bride's going-
    away outfit was a dussty rose reding-
    ote ensemble with orchid accesso-
    ries.

    SANBORN-Mrs. Gertrude
    Treichler, 74, of Elm Street,
    widow of Mervyn Treichler,
    died Sunday (Dec. 18, 1960)
    at Messler's Sunshine Nurs-
    ing Home, Hasport, after a
    lengthy illness.
    Born Oct. 2, 1887 in Cree-
    more, Ont., Mrs. Treichler
    came to this country with
    her parents, the late Allen
    and Mary Ann McKec Flack,
    when she was 9 years old.
    Mrs. Treichler was a member
    of Sanborn Methodist
    Church and of the Woman's!
    Society of Christian Service.'
    She was a charter member
    of Ransomville Chapter,
    Order of Eastern Star, and
    of the Pekln Grange.
    Surviving arc a son. Henry
    Allen Treichler. and a brothcrt
    Herbert Flack, both of
    Sanborn; three grandchildren
    and s e v e r a l nieces and
    nephews.
    Friends may call .at the
    Pike and Jones Funeral
    Home, where funeral services
    will be conducted at 2 p.m.
    Wednesday by Rev. W. Donaid
    Houucr.

    SANBORN. Sept. 16 ,(A).-Funeral
    services for Henry B. Treichler were
    held from his late home on the Saunders
    Settlement road, near Sanborn
    on Thursday, at 2:30 p. m.. Rev. Wilmer
    E. Steele of Humberstone, Ont..,
    officiated.
    The bearers were Messrs A. M. Barber,
    Truman Dean, John Maxon, Charles
    and Amos Mabon and William Jagow.
    Interment was made In the
    family lot at Mountain View cemetery,
    Pekin.
    Mr. Treichler's sudden death was a
    great shock to his many friends and
    relatives. On Monday morning, Sept.
    6,. 1926, he took a truck load of children
    to the marsh to harvest carrots,
    intending to return to the house immediately.
    He walked from the truck
    to tho marsh with the children, a distance
    of several hundred feet, and
    talked with his nephew, Harry Treichler.
    who was to direct the work. He
    had not complained of feeling ill but
    seemed in good spirits His nephew
    and the children left him to start work
    when one of the children called to look
    back and Mr. Treichler had fallen to
    the ground. Death was instantaneous.

    Henry Benjamin Treichler was
    born on a farm next to the one he
    now owns on the Saunders Settlement
    road. March 17, 153, the son of tho
    late Henry and Mary (nee Herr)
    Treichler.
    Ho was married January 26, 1882,
    to Sarah H. Rose, who survives him
    ,with one son, Mervyn W.. who with
    his family resides In tho same house
    with his parents, and two daughters
    Hattie M.. wife of Glenn M. Barber
    of Niagara Falls, and Laura wife
    of Leonard Ressegger, living at Sanborn.
    There are six grand children by
    whom ho was greatly loved, also one
    sister, Mrs. Melissa. J. Snearly of
    Williamsville survive to deeply mourn
    their loss.
    Mr. Treichler was an honorable,
    highly respected citizen in his community.
    He was public-spirited, always
    ready to help In any commendable
    undertaking. His kindly and
    cheerful disposition endeared him to
    all. His ago was 73 years. 5 months
    and 13 days.
    He was a collector for tho Erie &
    Niagara Insurance Association fr the
    towns of Lewiston and Niagara for
    forty years or more. He was an extensive
    fruit farmer
