    BUFFALO — JoAnn Demler, of the Town of Wheatfield, NY, passed away on Tuesday, October 23, 2012, in Buffalo General Hospital.

    She was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on August 17, 1952, the daughter of Glee M. (Wagner) Treichler of Sanborn, NY and the late Robert E. Treichler.

    JoAnn graduated from Niagara-Wheatfield High School, Fredonia and Buffalo State. She was a Special Education teacher with the Niagara Wheatfield School System for 27 years, with most of her time teaching at Edward Towne Middle School. JoAnn was very actively involved in all of the school's events and activities. She was an avid knitter and enjoyed her Bible study groups and gardening.

    In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Dale A. Demler; two sons, Jon (Carla) Demler of Fort Drum, NY and James Demler of Youngstown, NY; one granddaughter, Maggie Demler; three sisters, Gail (Kenneth) Terhaar of Rochester, NY; Nancy (James) Johnson of Baldwinsville, NY; and Jane (Ronald) Scudder of Rochester, NY. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

    The family will be present on Friday from 3-8 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 AM, with the Rev. Matthew D. Kofahl officiating. Flowers are gratefully declined. Memorials may be made in her name to the JoAnn Demler Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o Edward Towne Middle School, 2292 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, NY 14132.     Glee M. Treichler, of Sanborn, NY, passed away Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the home of her daughter in, Rochester, NY. Glee was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on November 3, 1925, the daughter of the late Lester A. and Rose [Koithan] Wagner.

    Mrs. Treichler graduated from LaSalle High School. She was a member of Hope United Methodist Church and the Sanborn Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Treichler enjoyed card club at church, traveling, crocheting and sewing.

    She was the wife of the late Robert E. Treichler, who died in June of 2000. Mrs. Treichler is survived by three daughters, Gail (Kenneth) Terhaar of Rochester, NY, Nancy (James) Johnson of Baldwinsville, NY and Jane (Ronald) Scudder of Rochester, NY , one son in law Dale Demler, eight grandchildren Jim and Jon (Carla) Demler, Melissa (JR) Stein, Laura (Brad) Penhollow, Kara and Greg Johnson, Rachel and Alexandra Scudder, five great grandchildren Maggie, Dominic, Jacob, Veronica and Jace, one brother Lester A. (late Sally) Wagner, also many nieces and nephews. She was the mother of the late JoAnn Demler.

    The family will be present on Friday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM at the RHONEY FUNERAL HOME, 5893 Hoover Road, SANBORN, NY, where funeral services will be held on Saturday at 10:00 AM, with the Rev. Matthew Kofahl officiating.

    Memorials may be made in her name to the JoAnn Demler Memorial Scholarship Fund, 2292 Saunders Settlement Road, Sanborn, NY 14132 or Lifetime Care, 3111 S. Winton Rd., Rochester, NY 14623.

    SANBORN- NOV. 30-The First
    Baptist church, Sanborn, was the
    setting for a lovely fall wedding
    when Miss Glee Wagner, daughter
    of Mr. Lester Wagner, Lockport
    road, was united in marriage to
    Mr Robert E. Treichler, son of Mr.
    and Mrs. Melvin Treichler, Maple
    street. The Rev. William Work,
    Baptist pastor, officiated.
    The musical background was provided
    by Mrs. Wallace Bush, organist,
    and Mr. Dale Bryner, soloist,
    who sang, "At Dawning," and, "I
    Love Thee."
    Given in marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a gown of candlelight
    satin fashioned with a Chantilly
    lace yoke, which had a round neckline
    and beaded applique trim. The
    full skirt fell into a chapel-length
    train. Her illusion fingertip veil
    fell from a Chantilly lace Juliet cap
    and she carried a cascade bouquet
    of white roses and stephonatis.
    Mrs. Maynard Colamato, Buffalo,
    cousin of the bride, was matron of
    honor and wore a sage green faille
    and satin gown with matching mitts.
    She carried a cascade bouquet of
    shaded bronze chrysanthemums and
    wore a matching headpiece.
    Mrs. Glenn Janowsky, Rochester,
    and Miss Alice. Jedele, Tonawanda,
    also .cousins of the bride, were
    bridesmaids and wore gowns the
    same as that of the matron of honor,
    They carried cascade bouquets of
    yellow chrysanthemums and wore
    matching headpieces.
    Mr. Gerald, Treichler . was his
    brother's best man and the ushers
    were Mr. Richard Treichler and Mr.
    Lester Wagner, Jr.
    Mrs. Louis Leichty, aunt of the
    bride, wore a wine colored dress
    with grey accessories and orchid
    corsage. Mrs. Melvin Treichler,
    mother of the bridegroom, wore deep
    violet with orchid accessories and
    orchid corsage. Mrs. Asher Evans,
    grandmother of the bridegroom,
    wore a taupe dress with matching
    Hat and -orchid corsage.
    - A reception was held at the
    Bergholtz Community hall for 230
    guests. The couple left on a trip
    to Washington, D. C. and Virginia.
    The bride wore a dressmakers suit
    of bittersweet gabardine with brown
    accessories.
    Pre-nuptial parties in honor of the
    bride included: one-gift shower,
    given by Mrs. Murray Harburn; one
    gift shower, by the SWT class of
    the Methodist church; variety shower,
    at the home of Mrs. Herbert Koithan;
    one-gift shower, by Mrs. Donald
    Truesdell and Miss Lois Wethy;
    variety shower, by the Sanborn Rebekah
    lodge; bedroom shower, by
    Mrs. Mark Treichler and Mrs. Clarence
    Braden; one-gift shower by the
    Bush guild at the home of Miss
    Pauline Mielke; variety shower, by
    Mrs. Floyd Treichler; personal
    shower, by Mrs. James Ingram;
    kitchen shower, by Mrs. Dale Bryner.
    and one-gift shower, by the
    choir of the Methodist church.
    On their return from the wedding
    trip, Mr. and Mrs. Treichler will be
    at home in the Lockport road.

    Koithan Wagner, 45 years old. died
    today at her home, on the Lockport
    road, after an Illness of about a
    year,
    Mrs. Wagner Is survived by her husband,
    Lester Wagner; one son. Lester,
    Jr., at home; one daughter. Glee, at
    home; one brother, Herbert Koithan,
    of the Shawnee road, and one sister,
    Mrs. Elma Leichty, of Buffalo.
    The funeral will be held from the
    home on Wednesday at 2 p. m. The
    Rev. Frank N. Taft, of the Baptist
    church, of which Mrs. Wagner was
    a member, will officiate. Interment
    will be In Shawnee cemetery.
    Mrs. Wagner was A daughter of the
    late Elvin Wagner and Rose Dexhelmer.
    She was born In the Wagner
    homestead on the Shawnee road.

    SANBORN - Mrs. Minnie M.
    Evans, 81, died Friday (Nov. 14,
    1958) at her home, Niagara St.,
    after an illness of several
    weeks. She was the widow of
    Asher Evans, who died in 1946.
    Born in Ridgeway, Ohio
    Dec. 5, 1876, Mrs. Evans was a
    daughter of the late James and
    Ruth Williams Ansley. She was
    married in 1896 in Kenton,
    Ohio, and the couple resided
    in Newark Valley, N.Y., until
    the death of Mr. Evans, when
    she came to Sanborn.
    Mrs. Evans was a member
    of Sanborn Methodist Church
    and its AOM Sunday School
    Class, Sanborn Rebekah Lodge
    No. 668 and the Stamp Club of
    Niagara Falls.. .
    Surviving are a son, Ward
    Evans, Miami, Fla.; two daughters.
    Mrs. Melvin Treichler
    a n d Mrs. Clarence Braden,
    both of Sanborn; nine grandchildren
    and 14 great-grandchildren;
    and two sisters. Mrs.
    Edward Shaw, N o r t h Mansfield,
    Ohio, and Mrs. Chris
    Copp, Ridgeway, Ohio. A third
    daughter, Mrs. Mark Treichler,
    died a year ago.
    Funeral services will be conducted
    at 2 p.m. Monday at the
    Pike and Jones Funeral Home
    by the Rev. W. Donald Housser.
    Burial will be in Mt View
    Cemetery.
    The Rebekah Lodge will hold
    a memorial service at the funeral home
    at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.

    SANBORN, April 9.—The funeral of Mrs. Anna M. Wagner, aged 64, who passed away at her home on the Lockport road on Saturday. April 6, after a long illness, was held today at 2 p. m. from her late home.
    Mrs. Wagner was the widow of Henry F. Wagner and is survived by four sons, Henry J., Lester, Wilbur and Raymond, all of Sanborn, and three daughters. Mrs. Glen Dodge of Sanborn. Mrs. Herbert Koithan of the Shawnee road, and Mrs. Ruben J. Jedele of Tonawanda, N. Y., also twelve grandchildren.
    Mrs. Wagner was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Bollier of La Salle and was born at La Salle. Thirty-seven years ago she moved with her family to the home on the Lockport road; she was held in high esteem by a host of friends. The bearers were all nephews of the deceased and included Messrs. Norman Kropp. Leo Parks. Harold Bollier, Sampson Hiden and Cecil Hiden, all of Tonawanda, and Edwin Hoover of Sanborn. Rev. William B. Arnold officiated.
    Burial was in Oakwood cemetery at Niagara Falls.
