    Mrs. Lllah Schultz and Miss Alice
    Volk were recent hostesses at a
    shower in honor of Miss Florence
    Volk, whose marriage to Mr. Fred
    Trlppensee will take place next
    month. Twenty-six. guests were received
    and a series of games were enjoyed,
    prizes being awarded winners
    °who later presented them to the honor
    guest. The Invited guests presented
    Miss Volk with a ninety-piece dinner
    set of china dishes.
    On Saturday evening the Busy Bee
    class, or the Baptist church, of which
    Miss Volk is president, entertained in
    her honor at their class room, twelve
    being present. A bride's book was
    made and games featured. Those
    present were the Misses Alice Volk.
    Eleanor and Mildred Kurtz, Dolores
    and Lucile Linderman. Malsie and
    Marguerite Flynn, Kathryn Bobzlen,
    Mrs. Seva Mayer, Mrs. Viola Seager
    and Mrs. Edith Warren. A gift of
    money was presented to Miss Volk.

    this Sunday afternoon; Jan. 21st.
    was very largely a t t e n d e d . Rev.
    John Showers of St. Peter's Luther-
    church of Lockport officiated
    and Mrs. Dysinger and Mrs. Carson
    rendered three selections—"Safe in
    is Arms of Jesus." "When Shall
    We Meet." and "What a Friend- We
    have in Jesus." The b e a r e r s were
    Henry Herbst;. Albeit Herbst, Henry
    Beutel,. William Strassburg. Venol
    Botts and William Trippensee. Interment
    was made in North Ridge
    cemetery. Mr. Trippinsse is survived
    by his wife, three sons. H a r o l d J..

    home and six dlaughters: E s t h e r at
    home;. Mrs. Albert H e r b s t , Mrs.. Henry
    Herbst and Mrs. Vinol G Botts of
    South Ridge, Mrs. Henry Beutel of
    Wilson, Mrs. William S t r a s s b u r g of
    Pekin. Mr. Trippinsee was born in
    Germany and came to America with
    his parents when 6 years of age. He
    was a tailor by trade, but engaged
    in farming in this c o u n t r y With con-
    siderable success, Hie m a r r i e d Miss
    Wanda Bull who died at t h e age of
    26 years. He then married Miss
    Mary Linke who survives him. He
    was a life-long member.of t h e E v a n -
    gelical church, arid resided in South
    Ridge many years and served as
    a trustee for several years.
    His death was a shock to his family
    as he was only ill ten days.

    LOCKPORT. Aug. 10-Bom In
    Germany and coming to the United
    States at the age of nine, Mrs.
    Mary Trippensee, 82, widow of Fred-
    erick Trippensee, died yesterday at
    her home, in the Million Dollar
    highway, Town of Cambria, after
    an illness of several months. Mr.
    Trippensee died 22 years ago. Ex-
    cept for three years spent in Miller-
    sport, N.Y., Mrs. Trippensee had
    always made her home in Cambria.
    Surviving are three sons and six
    daughters, Frederick and Adolph,
    Mrs. Helene Herbst, Mrs. Ida Herbst
    and Mrs. Dora Gotts, all of Cambria,
    Mrs. Mary Beutel of Wilson, N.Y.,
    Mrs. Emma Strassburg of Pekin,
    N.Y., Mrs. Esther Smith, of Tona-
    wanda, and Harold, of Johnson
    Creek, N.Y.; two sisters, Mrs. Min-
    nie Reitz, of Niagara Falls, N.Y.,
    and Mrs. Anna Kohn, of The Rap-
    ids, N.Y.
    Services will be held at the home
    Sunday at 3 p.m. Burial will be in
    North Ridge cemetery.

    Schultz Volk, 79, of 2826 Beebe
    Road, died today (Aug. 28,
    1965) at Mount View Hospital,
    Lockport, where she had been
    a patient for 13 days.
    She was born in the Town
    of Cambria, June 29, 1886, a.
    daughter of Ernest and Lena
    Meyers Schultz. She was married
    Dec. 23, 1908, in Lockport,
    a n d had lived in the
    Town of W i l s o n , near the
    Newfane town line, since 1914.
    Survivors include her husband,
    W a l l a c e Volk; two
    d a u g h t e r s , Mrs. Frederick
    (Florence) T r i p p e n s e e , Se-
    bring, Fla., and Mrs. John
    (Alice) Widmer, Appleton; a
    son, Wallace Leo Volk, Newfane;
    a s i s t e r , Mrs. Elmer
    (Edith) Wilkens, and a brother,
    Charles Schultz, both of
    Ransomtille; also 10 grandchildren
    and t h r e e greatgrandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Ken-,
    neth H. Sherrie Funeral Home
    starting a-t 2 p.m. Sunday. The
    family will be present from 2
    to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services
    will be held at the funeral
    home at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Rev.
    John Palmer of West Somer-
    set Baptist Church officiating.
    Burial will be in Wrights Cor-
    ners Cemetery.

    NORTH RIDGE. Oct. 18.-Funeral
    services for Ernest P. Schultz, aged
    84 years, who died early on Friday
    morning at the home of his daughter,
    Mrs, Elmer Wllkins, of the Daniels
    road, were held from the daughter's
    home at 12:30 o'clock on Sunday
    afternoon and at 1 o'clock from
    St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran
    church, of which he had been a
    member for many years, the Rev.
    Carl W. Oldach, pastor, officiated.
    Many beautiful flowers were In
    evidence. These, with the large
    concourse of neighbors and friends,
    showed the esteem in which he was
    held.
    The bearers, all nephews, were:
    William Schultz, of Ransomvllle;
    Fred Schultz, of the Town Line
    road; Edward Schultz, of Cambria;
    Amiel Schultz. of Ridge road, town
    of Lewlston, Walter Schultz, of the
    Frog Hollow road, and Herman
    Schultz, of the town of Newfane.
    Burial was in St. Peter's Lutheran
    cemetery. .
    Mr. Schultz is survived by one
    son. Charles Schultz, of Ransomvllle;
    two daughters. Mrs, Wilkins,
    of North Ridge, and Mrs. Wallace
    Volk, of the town of Newfane, and
    several, grand children. He died of
    old age infirmities,

    Schultz, 79, wife of Ernest, died yes-
    terday at the family home here.
    Funeral services will be held Thursday
    afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home
    and at 2:30 from St. Peter's Lutheran
    church here. The Rev. John Barkow
    will officiate. Interment will be in
    St. Peter's cemetery here.
    Besides the husband, Mrs. Schultz is
    survived by the following children,
    Louis and Mrs. Wallace Volk of New-
    fane; Mrs. Elmer Wilkins of Lockport
    and Charles of Ransomville.
