Paul worked alongside his brother, Henry, at the family business, Beecher Brothers Oil and Propane, before and after his service in the Army. He joined IBEW Union #1249 as a lineman and served as President. Life member of Sanborn Fire Hall, where Paul served on the Board and as Chief. Paul was a member of the Sanborn Historical Society and Farm Museum. He was married to Margo (nee Goater) until her passing in 2016, just months before their 50th wedding anniversary. Survived by children, Paul, of Murfreesboro, TN, Christine, of Niagara Falls, NY, and Amanda (Scott), of Christiana, TN; granddaughter Samantha; many nieces, nephews, and friends. Paul enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter, Colleen (Kyle), and great-grandson, best-friend, fellow tractor enthusiast Chanse. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Farm Museum or Sanborn Fire Hall, General Fund are appreciated. No prior visitation.     Margo J. Beecher (Goater), age 70, was called to her heavenly home on February 25, 2016 at her Sanborn residence. Born May 16, 1945 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of Thomas and Geraldine (Morath) Goater. Margo attended the River Road School and graduated from Niagara Wheatfield High School. She was employed at the Niagara Falls Air Base. A former member of the Sanborn Baptist Church, Margo was the crafts director and instructor for the Sanbornite Senior Citizen Group. She enjoyed arts and crafts, was a seamstress and operated the What Knot Barn Craft Store, in Sanborn.
    Survivors include her husband, Paul D. Beecher (married June 11, 1966); three children, Paul T. Beecher of Murfreesboro, TN, Christine Beecher of Wheatfield and Amanda Jean Beecher of Murfreesboro, TN; granddaughter, Colleen York, and great-grandson, Chanse Mark Bishop both of Niagara Falls; a sister, Marlene Mueller of Wheatfield; nieces, nephews and close friends. Also pre-deceased by a brother-in-law, Myron 'Mike' Mueller; and parent-in-laws, Daniel and Adelaide Beecher.
    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Jonathon Haseley, on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

    SANBORN - Daniel M. Beecher, 76, of Fair View Drive, died Dec. 30, 1995, in Mesa General Hospital, Mesa, Ariz., after a brief illness. He was born Sept. 2, 1919, in East Barre, N.Y., the son of Clair L. and Inga M. (Engen) Beecher. He was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and had lived in Sanborn most of his life. From 1947 to 1977, Mr. Beecher and his twin brother, Donald, were the co-owners of Beecher Brothers, an oil, heating, air conditioning and appliance business in Sanborn. He was instrumental in the formation of the Sanborn Ambulance Service, which preceded the current Tri-Community Ambulance. Mr. Beecher was known for his clock collection and ability to repair antique clocks. His collection included more than 200 clocks at one point. He showed his antiques at many shows and flea markets throughout the country. An accomplished banjo player, he was president of the Arizona Banjo Band for the past five years and a member of the Buffalo Banjo Band, Just Banjo Band. Mr. Beecher was a member of the First Baptist Church of Sanborn, a charter member of the Sanborn Lions Club and a life member of the Sanborn Fire Co. In addition to his brother, he is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Adelaide Pike; three sons, Paul Beecher and Thomas Beecher, both of Sanborn, and Henry Beecher of Ransomville; a brother, Mark Beecher of Lewiston; eight grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; a great-granddaughter; and several nieces and nephews.

    ADELAIDE L. BEECHER
    Adelaide "Addie" L. Beecher, age 90, formerly of Sanborn, NY, passed away Saturday, September 1, 2007 at Niagara Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Niagara Falls, NY, after a long illness. Mrs. Beecher was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on April 9, 1917. She was the daughter of Albert and Marie (Hennessey) Pike. She was a graduate of the East High School in Rochester, NY, in the Class of 1935. She was a former member of the Sanborn Rebekah Lodge, the Sanborn Area Home Bureau and was a Den Mother for the Cub Scouts Pack #39. She also was an Avon representative. Addie enjoyed playing the organ, traveling and spending time with her family and grand children. She was predeceased by her husband of 54 years, Daniel M. Beecher, who died on December 30, 1995. Surviving are three sons: Paul (Margo) Beecher, Henry (Rena) Beecher, both of Sanborn, Thomas (Ruth) Beecher, of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren: Paul J.     Thomas Edward Goater, 93, of Hird Road, Town of Wheatfield, died Friday, March 30, 2007 at his home while under the care of hospice, following a brief illness. Born on May 12, 1913, the son of Joseph and Louisa (Brand) Goater, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School Class of 1931. He retired from the Carborundum Co. as a lathe operator in 1975. Mr. Goater was an avid woodworker, enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and working in his flower garden. Thomas loved living on the Niagara River. He was a member of the Unity Church, a sixty year member of the Frontier Volunteer Fire Co., the Wheatfield Republican Club, the Niagara County Ostomy, a member of the LaSalle Sportsman Club since 1941, the Carborundum Alumni, the Retired Men's Service Club, the Wheatfield Seniors and the TNT Boat Club. He was predecease by his wife, Geraldine Morath on April 22, 1982. They were married in Niagara Falls on June 26, 1937.     ALBERT PIKE DIES
    Former Falls Resident Succumbs to Illness of Year's Duration
    Albert H. Pike, 57 years old, a former resident of this city, died in Buffalo yesterday, after an illness of about a year. He had been living at the home of his sister, Mrs. Martha McCormick, 136 Vandalie Street, Buffalo, at whose residence the funeral services will be held. Mr. Pike was born and brought up in Thorold, Ontario and after settling here, was employed as machinist by the Shredded Wheat company and also the Wm. A. Rogers, Ltd., working at his trade in this city for 35 years. He was an active member of the local Moose lodge for about 13 years. He gave up this interest about a year or so ago. Mr. Pike had many friends in this city who will morn his passing. He is surved by his sister, Mrs. McCormick: by four daughters, Mrs. Ada McGrath, Mrs. Francesa Carroll and Miss Adelaide Pike, of Rochester, and Mrs. Ethel Colato, of Niagara Falls: two sons, Charles A. Pike, of this city, and Henry R. Pike of Flushing, N. Y. Funeral arrangements will be completed today. The services will be held from the home of Mrs. McCormick and burial will be In Thorold, Ont.
