LOCKPORT — Walter C. Anterline passed away July 27, 2010 in Eastern Niagara Hospital, Lockport. Born November 7, 1924 in Lockport, he was the son of Walter C. and Louise (Burkhardt) Anterline. Walter served in the US Army from 1943 to 1945 during WW II, he earned the American Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal and the World War II Victory Medal. He worked for Harrison Radiator for 30 years in the Tool & Die Room retiring in 1982. Walter was a member of Grace Episcopal Church, Lockport and enjoyed bowling, politics and baseball. He was predeceased by his wife Hazel (Werth) Anterline on August 31, 2002. Walter is survived by his two sons, Keith (Carole) Anterline of Lockport and Kevin Anterline of New York City. He was predeceased by his brother, William Anterline; and sister, Verna Baker. Walter is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends may call Friday 3-7 PM Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 9:30 AM. LOCKPORT - Hubert A. Werth, 86, of 230 Price St., a retired farmer who had raised nine children and had 26 grandchildren and 45 great grandchildren, died Monday afternoon (Aug. 3, 1959) at a local nursing home following a long illness. A widower twice, he had married three times. He retired from a Town of Lockport fruit farm in 1946 after working there since 1907 and worked part-time. at a local cold storage firm "until seven years ago. He was born Nov. 6, 1872, at Bergholtz, son of William and Heneritta Werth. He came to Lockport about 13 years ago. Lockport about 13 years ago. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are his third wife, Mrs. Carrie Collins Werth; six daughters and three sons, Mrs. Robert Mosher, Mrs. Frank Thilkey, Mrs. Roland Nerber, Mrs. Elton Behm, Mrs. Walter Anterline, Hubert F., Everett C. and Glenn R. Werth, all of Lockport, and Mrs. Leonard Kranz, Akron, N.Y. The Rev. Stephen Palmer, pastor of First Presbyterian Church, will conduct services at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

William J. G. Werth, 80 years old, a well known resident of North Tonawanda,
died at the DeGraff Memorial hospital on Tuesday night after a lingering illness. The body was removed to the home of his son, William Werth, at No. 60 Jackson avenue. Mr. Werth was born in Germany and had lived here over a half a century, He is survived by two sons, Hubert Werth of Lockport and William Werth of Gratwick; three daughters, Mrs. William Volchow of Lockport, Mrs. Joseph Roulley of Niagara Falls and Mrs. Fred Berg of Burt, and one brother, John Werth of Germany. The
funeral will be held from the Werth home on Jackson avenue at 1:30 o'clock tomorrow afternoon and a half hour later from St. Mark's church on Washington street, the Rev. Martin Human officiating. Burial will be in Bergholtz.
