NORTH TONAWANDA — Frances A. Bachman (nee Krull), age 88, of the Town of Wheatfield, August 4, 2010, in Northgate Manor Nursing Home, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s. The family offers special thanks to Julia, Gayla, Bev and Kelly who took care of Frances while at home, and offers thanks to the staff at Northgate who took care of both their mom and dad.

Beloved mother of Ronald (Julia) Bachman of Wheatfield and Sharon (Larry) Fell of Parma, OH; grandmother of Julia and Jacob. Sister of George Krull, Dorothy Bald, Alice Bugenhagen, Helen (Frank) Loiars and Gertrude (Herbert) Mathias; aunt of many nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda, on Saturday from 1:00–4:30 PM. Graveside services will be held on Monday at 10:00 AM from St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery, the Rev. Patrick McKenzie will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation.

at Kenmore Mercy Hospital after
a short illness. Born in Scranton,
Pa. Mr. Bachman had resided in
Tonawanda 14 years. He was an
employe of Canadian Cartage &
Warehouse Corp. of Buffalo for the
past five years. He is survived by
his wife, Pearl (nee Richardson)
Backman; two daughters, Mrs.
Dennis (Arlene) Zobrist of Tona-
wanda and Mrs. Frank (Lillian)
Bruno of New York City; three

Krull, 80, of 8930 Tonawanda
Creek Road, Town of Clarence,
died Sunday (Feb. 9, 1969) at
Doctor's Hospital, Tonawanda,
after a long illness.
He was born July 31, 1888
in the Town of Wheatfield, the
son of August and Mary Witkop
Krull. He farmed at the
Tonawanda Creek Road address
for over 50 years and was a
member of the First English
Lutheran Church of Lockport,
and for half a century, was
a member of the Fruit and
Vegetable Growers Association
of Erie County. He was married
to Rosa Schenkel Krull who
died in 1961, shortly after.the
couple had celebrated their 50th
wedding annuversary.
He Is survived by three sons,
Clarence G. Krull of Lockport,
Harold H. Krull-of Sanborn and
George W. Krull of Columbus,
Ohio; six daughters, Mrs. Floyd
(Lydia) Fiegel of Getzville,
Mrs. Harry ( F r a n c e s)
Bachman, Mrs. Herbert (Gertrude)
Matheis and Mrs. Frank'
(Helen) Loiars, all of Lockport,
Mrs. Dorothy Bald of Clarence

LOCKPORT - Mrs. Rose Alvina Krull, 72, of 8930 Tonawanda Creek Road, Clarence Center, died Sunday (April 30, 1961) at Lockport Memorial Hospital where she was a patient for a week. She had been ill for a year. Mrs. Krull, wife of Philip H. Krull, a resident of Clarence Center for the last 25 years, was born Nov. 11, 1889, in the Town of Wheatfield She was a daughter of the late Gustav and August Proefrock Schendel. She and her husband marked their 52nd wedding anniversary April 25. They were married at Martinsville, N.Y. in 1909. In addition to her husband, surviving are three sons. Clarence Krull, Lockport, Harold Krull, Sanborn, and George Krull, Columbus, Ohio; six daughters, Mrs. Floyd Fiegel Getzville, Mrs. Harry Bachman, North Tonawanda, Mrs. Herbert Matheis, Getzville, Mrs. 'Elton Bald, Clarence Center, Mrs. Frank Loiars, Lockport, and Mrs. Robert Bugenhagen, Gasport; a brother, Henry Schendell, North Tonawanda; five sisters, Mrs. Emma Krull, Lockport, Mrs. Anna Erick, ClarenceCenter, Mrs. Pauline Johnson, Michigan, Mrs. Minnie Miller, North Tonawanda, and Mrs. Elsie Ordaway, Arizona; 15 grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Rev. Robert E. Heffrer of First English Lutheran Church, this city, will officiate at services at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lange Funeral Home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

Gustav Schendel, 82, died yesterday at his home on the Falls boulevard, town of Wheatfield. He was a life-long resident. He is survived by a son, Henry of Wheatfield; six daughters, Mrs. Philip Krull of Clarence, Mrs. Christ Krull, of Cambria, Mrs. Walter Errick of Gasport, Mrs. Fillmore Johnson of Lansing, Mich., Mrs. George Mueller and Mrs. Edward Ordiway of Wheatfield; 24 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Rites will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2:30 at the residence and at 3 o’clock at the St. Paul’s Lutheran church, Rev. F. A. Hinners officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul’s cemetery.

NORTH TONAWANDA. July 19 - Mrs. Augusta Schendel. 16, died last night at her home in the Niagara Falls boulevard near Nashville, town of Wheatfield. She was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield and a member of St. Paul's Lutheran church at Martinsville. She is survived by her husband, Gustav Schendel; six daughters, Mrs. Phlip Krull, of Clarence, Mrs. Christian Krull and Mrs. George Mueller, of Wheatfield, Mrs. Walter Errick. of Amherst, Mrs. Filmore Johnson, of Lansing. Mich., and Mrs. Edward Ordiway, of Tonawanda; a son. Henry, of Wheatfield; 23 grandchildren and five great grandchildren. The funeral will be held Saturday at 2 p m. at the home and at 2:30 at St. Paul's church. Interment
