    TONAWANDA - Mrs. Susan
    P. Janke, 88, widow of Reynolds
    Janke, of 132 Delaware
    St., died Monday (Oct. 12, 1970)
    in DeGraff Memorial Hospital
    after a brief illness.
    She was a lifelong resident of
    this city.
    Survivors include a daughter,
    Mrs. Fred (Gladys) Roberts of
    Decatur, Fla.; a brother, Chris
    Warren of this city and two
    grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    at 2 p.m. today at the Creasey
    Memorial Chapel. Mr. Richard
    Kepelsen, will officiate. Previate
    burial will be in Elmlawn
    Cemetery.

    TONAWANDA, July 1.-Stricken
    with pneumonia on Tuesday of last
    week, William F Warren. 77 years old
    died Saturday night at his home, 41
    Broad street. Mr. Warren was a life-
    long and well known resident of the
    Tonawandas.
    During his early manhood he was
    engaged ln the operation of tugs in the
    local harbor. He later became engaged
    in the grocery business with his father-in-
    law. the late Christian Schwinger.
    He next branched out in the marine
    business, becoming an owner of vessels
    engaged in the lumber business on the
    lakes. He was the owner and operator
    of a tug on thc Erie Canal, towing
    boats.
    Before Tonawanda became a city, Mr.
    Warren took an active interest ln political
    matters. He served a term as village
    trustee. Surviving are his wife.
    Sarah; three sons, Christ S., Frank and
    William F. Warren, Jr.; two daughters,
    Mrs. R. A. Janke, all of Tonawanda.
    and Mrs. Samuel Beals. Buffalo, and
    eleven grandchildren. The funeral will
    be held Tuesday afternoon at 4 o'clock,
    at the residence. Burial will be at Elmlawn.
