Howard C. Volkstadt, 55, of
322 Annover Road, Lewiston,
a Hooker Chemical Corp.
foreman, died Thursday (Nov.
30, 1961) at Hackensack, N.J.
Mr. Volkstadt who had
w o r k e d for the chemicals
firm here for 29 years was
stricken with a heart attack
while visiting relatives.
He was born in North Ton-
awanda and came to Niagara
Falls area about 30 years ago.
He was a member of St.
Stephen's Episcopal Church.
Survivors include his wife.
Marguerite, a son, Roger Volkstadt,.
New York C i t y;
daughter, Mrs. Claude Worth
Lockport; two sisters, Mrs.
Ruth Abram and Miss Florence
Volkstadt, both of North
Tonawanda, and a grandchild.
Services will be 11 a.m.
Monday at the Lane Funeral
Home. Rev. Cuthbert Mac-
Lean, pastor of St. Stephen's
Episcopal Church, will officiate.
Burial will be in Riverdale
Cemtery. Friends may
call after 4 p.m. Saturday

Lo Salle, March 13-Mrs. Mary
Speck, 78 years old, died yesterday at
her home in La Salle. She had been
ill many weeks. She leaves several
s o n s and daughters. Before coming to
La Salle Mrs. Speck lived for many
y e a r s in T o n a w a n d a and previous to
t h a t was a resident of Lockport. The
funeral will be on Frlday.

yesterday at her home in LaSalle.: She
had been ill many weeks. She leaves
several sons and daughters. Before
going to LaSalle Mrs. Speck lived
for many years in Tonawanda and

Lockport. The funeral will be on Friday
at 2:30 p. in., from the home in
Jewett avenue, LaSalle. Burial will
be in Oakwood cemetery in Niagara
