    OLCOTT-A lovely mid-summer
    wedding was solemnized Saturday
    morning at 10 o'clock in St. Charles'
    church when the Rev. Lawrence J.
    Di Giovanni united In marriage
    Miss Rose E. Tatu, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. John Tatu, Br., of Lock-,
    port street, to Wlllam J. Rooney.
    son of Mrs. Norah Rooney, of
    Lockport.
    The sanctuary of the church wasj
    decorated with tall vases of pink
    and white gladioli and roses, and
    bouquets of mixed garden flowers
    were placed on the altar in the
    church.
    Given in marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a white net gown
    over taffeta made on princess lines.
    Her veil of illusion was fastened to
    a halo of pearls and her bouquet
    was of white gardenias, gypsophila
    and white larkspur.
    Miss Mercedes Rooney, of Lockport,
    a sister of the groom, was
    the bridesmaid. She wore a princess
    gown of baby-blue moussellne
    de sole over matching taffeta, made
    with a full skirt. She carried a
    bouquet of pink roses and gypsophila.
    She wore a coronet of pink
    roses.
    John Tatu, Jr., brother of the
    bride, was the best man. The ushers
    were Howard Rooney, of Lockport,
    brother of the groom, and
    Clarence Volchow, of Olcott, brother-
    in-law of the bride.
    The bride's mother wore a black
    silk crepe dress and Mrs. Rooney,
    mother of the groom, was gowned
    in flowered crepe. Both wore corsages
    of roses and sweety peas.
    Miss Mary Babcock, of Olcott,
    played the wedding music and during
    the ceremony sang "Ave Maria."
    A wedding breakfast was served
    at the home of the bride. Baskets
    of garden flowers were arranged
    throughout the room. Eight were
    seated at the bridal table which
    was decorated with pink and -white
    roses, white candles in crystal holders
    and a bride's cake topped with a
    miniature bride and groom.
    Mr. and Mrs. Rooney have left
    for a short wedding trip. The bride's
    traveling costume was of black
    crepe with white accessories and a
    shoulder corsage of gardenias.
    Out-of-town guests were Mr. and
    Mrs. Paul Seifert, of North Tonawanda.
