    A very pretty wedding was solemnized
    at live home of Mr. and Mrs.
    James Waggoner, 27 Niagara street.
    when their daughter, Edith Grace, was
    united in marriage to Mr. Carl Mabon
    ol Ontario avenue, on Tuesday evening
    at 7:30 o'clock by the Rev. John
    Leffler, pastor of St. James M. E.
    church. Miss Anna Mclntyre attended
    the bride and David Waggoner, brother
    of the. bride, was best man. The
    bride wore white dotted Swiss.
    trimmed with Valenciennes lace, and
    carried white Carnations. The bridesmaid
    was dressed in white organdie
    and carried pink carnations. As the
    bridal party entered the prettily decorated
    oarlor. Mendelssohn's wedding
    inarch was played by Mrs. Hector
    Mandseley, cousin of the bride. The
    bride was given away by her father.
    After the ceremony about 50 of the
    relatives of the contracting parties
    sat down to a wedding dinner. Mr.
    and Mrs. Mabon left at 3:30 o'clock for
    an extended, honeymoon trip to New-
    York, Atlantic City and eastern points.
    The groom's present to the bride and
    bridesmaid were gold pins with pear
    settings. The wedding gifts were,
    numerous and costly. The employees
    of the Cataract Haircloth Company,
    where the groom is employed, presented
    him with a dining room set.
    Among the out-of-town guests were
    Mrs. Captain James Mandseley and
    daughter, Beta; Mrs. Robert Ford. Mrs.
    Hector Mandseley. all of Thorold.
    Out., Mr. and Mrs. Bowerbank of St.
    Catharines, Miss Skinner. Niagara
    Falls, Ont.,, Mrs. Charles Mabon. and
    Mr. and Mrs. Amos Mabon. Miss Porter
    of Pekin. N. Y.. Mrs. Gleason and
    daughter. Meda. and Mr. Frank Waggoner
    of Buffalo. After July 1st Mr
    and Mrs. Mabon will be at home, 27
    Niagara street.

    The funeral of James Waggoner
    took place at 3 o'clock Wednesday
    afternoon from the family home 370
    Prospect street, and a half hour later
    from the First Presbyterian
    church. The Rev. Charles Walker
    of St. Paul's M. E. church conducted
    the services and paid high
    tribute to Mr. Waggoner. The bearers
    were Mr. Pickwell. A. ; Pierson,
    William Wilson. Henry Jewel,
    Edward Miller and J. W. Harrison.
    Tho body was placed in the vault
    in O.ikwood oomejery. "W. Pier-
    son, William Wilson, Henry Jewel,
    Edward Miller and J. W. Harrison.
    The body was placed in the vault
    in Oakwood cemetery.

    James married FORD, Mary about 1885. Mary was born about 1860 in England; died on 14 Mar 1946 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    Mrs. Mary Waggoner, 86 years
    old, 2430 Woodlawn avenue, a well
    known resident of this city for
    many years, died today at her home
    after a brief illness.
    Born in England, Mrs. Waggoner
    came to Niagara Falls 53 years ago
    and had resided here since. Active
    In many women's organizations, she
    was a charter member of the
    Daughters of St. George and was
    also a member of Flagler Chapter,
    No. 355, Order of Eastern Star;
    Niagara Falls Court, No. 20, Order
    of Amaranth; Messiah Shrine, No.
    18, White Shrine of Jerusalem; the
    Independent Order of Foresters,
    Degree of Pocohontas, the Lady
    Orioles, Riverdale Rebekah lodge
    and St. Paul's Methodist church
    She is survived by four children,
    David C. Waggoner, Detroit; John
    R. Waggoner, Mrs, Carl Mabon and
    Mrs. Carleton Stratton, all of this
    city; two brothers, John Ford, St.
    Lambert, Que., and Robert Ford,
    St. Catharines, Ont., and a sister,
    Mrs. Harry Bye, Marsellus, N. Y.
    Five grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren
    also survive.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Bell funeral home, Main street,
    Saturday at 2 p. m. with the Rev.
    John Redmond, pastor of St. Paul's
    church, officiating. Interment will
    be in Oakwood cemetery.
