    NORTH TONAWANDA -
    August E. Krehan, 77,- of 24
    Cramer St., died today (Aug.
    13, 1964) in DeGraff Memorial
    Hospital after a. short illness.
    Born in Germany, he lived
    in this city for 54 years. He
    was formerly employed as a
    machinist by the Carborundum
    Co':, Niagara Falls, and
    retired 12 years ago. He was
    a member of St. Matthew's
    Lutheran Church. Surviving
    are his wife, the former Ida
    Refke;,three sons, Herman G.
    Gerhardt K, and Arthur W.
    Krehan, all of this city;, eight
    grandchildren and.eight great
    grandchildren.
    Rev. A. W. Moldenhauer will
    conduct, funeral services at, 2
    p.m. Saturday in the Frethoid
    Funeral Home. Burial will be
    in St. Matthew's Lutheran
    Cemetery.

    August married REFKE, Ida M on 8 Apr 1912 in Marienwerder, Germany. Ida was born about 1894 in Germany; died on 8 Oct 1972 in Degraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    NORTH TONAWANDA-
    Mr. and Mrs. August E.
    Krehan, 24 Cramer Street,
    will celebrate their 50th
    wedding anniversary today
    with a open house at their
    home beginning at 3 p.m.
    Mr. and Mrs. Krehan
    were married April 8, 1912
    at Marienwerder, Germany,
    and moved to this country
    two weeks later. They have
    resided in this area since.
    Mr. Krehan was employed
    for 15 years at the Carborundum
    Co., Niagara Falls,
    prior to his retirement in
    1952.
    Joining in the celebration
    today will be the couple's
    three sons, Herman G.,
    Gerhardt E. and Arthur W.
    Krenan, all of this city;
    e i g h t grandchildren and
    seven great, grandchildren.
    The family will attend
    church services at St. Matthew's
    Lutheran Church
    and a dinner at Warren's
    Steak House prior to the
    open house.

    2. KREHAN, Gerhardt C was born on 11 Mar 1915; died on 28 May 1990.
