    A very lovely summer wedding
    was solemnized at 4 o'clock Saturday

    afternoon. July 8, at St Peter's
    Episcopal church, when Miss Loretta
    Wagner, daughter of Mr, Frank
    Wagner, of Point avenue, became
    the bride of Lieutenant Donald H.
    Hawkes, son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland
    Hawkes, of Ninety-first street.
    The Rev. Blake Hammond officiated
    at the ceremony. Mary
    Carolyn Neff furnished the .musical
    setting for the ceremony
    The bride, who entered the
    church on the arm of her father,
    was radiant in her floor-length
    white marquisette. Her long flowing
    veil,of illusion net fen from a
    tiara of seed pearls. She carried
    an arm .bouquet of white roses
    from which fell satin streamers
    tied with lovers' knots.
    Mrs. De Wayne Maze, sister of
    the bride and matron of honor,
    was charming in her gown of orchid
    marquisette and matching
    tiara. She carried a lovely colonial
    bouquet of yellow rosebuds and
    blue daisies.
    Mr. Roy Hawkes, brother of the
    brldegrom, was best man. .
    Miss Lots Howe in her gown
    of sheer pink, and Miss Irene Winters,
    in yellow, were the bridesmaids.
    Each carried a colonial bouquet
    of Dink roses.
    Participating as ushers were Mr.
    Edward Wagner, brother of the
    4 bride and Mr. Duane Fl«t, brotherin-
    law of the bridegroom. .
    The bride chose a lovely white
    silk dress with matching accessories
    and a corsage of white flowers for
    her going-away outfit.
    Lieutenant D. L Hawkes and
    his bride left Tuesday. July 11, for
    Stuttgart, Arkansas, where they will
    reside temporarily.

    Roland Hawkes, 67, a retired
    Electro Metallurgical Co. foreman,
    died suddenly yesterday
    (March 30, 1955) at his home, 729
    81st St.
    A native of Kingston, Ont., he
    was employed by Electromet for
    32 years. He came to this city to
    live 30-years ago.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Lillian Hawkes; two sons, Roy
    Hawkes of Westfield, N. Y., and
    Donald Hawkes, this city, and one

    daughter, Mrs. Duane Furith, this
    city. He also is survived by a
    brother, Edward Hawkes, in Birmingham,
    England.
    Mr. Hawkes spent most of his
    career with Electromet in the research
    development division. He
    was a molder and later molding
    foreman in that department.
    He was a member of the Fraternal
    Order of Eagles and the
    Electromet 25-Year Club. .
    Funeral services will be held at
    the residence tomorrow at 1 p.m.
    Private memorial services will be
    beid later at Forest Lawn Cemetery.
    The Rev. Cuthbert MacLean,
    rector of St. Stephen's Episcopal
    Church, will officiate.
