    Mrs. Francis M .Johnson, 68,
    of 89 Kenwood Ave., Rochester,
    died Saturday at Strong
    Memorial Hospital, Rochester,
    after a short illness.
    She had lived in Rochester
    for the past six years since the
    death of her husband, Percy E.
    Johnson, who was with the
    Marine Midland Bank in
    Medina.
    Mrs. Johnson was born in
    Canada, May 8, 1902. She was
    a member of St. Augustine's
    Roman Catholic Church in
    Rochester. She was also a
    member of the Senior Citizens
    of Rochester.
    She is survived by two
    daughters, Mrs. Walter
    (Patricia) Steinhorst of Monticello,
    Fla., and Mrs. Robert
    (Marleen) Bowers of Lockport;
    four sisters, Mrs. Josephine
    Clark of Rochester, Miss Slyvia
    Stenask of Rochester, Mrs.
    Kathleen Maxwell of Rochester,
    and Mrs. Mary Adams of
    Batavia; two brothers, Clarence
    Rumble of Rochester and Ar*-
    thony Rumble of Minnesota;
    seven grandchildren; several
    nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call from 2 to
    6 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Barnes-
    Tuttle Funeral Home, 226 Pearl
    s t . Medina, where prayer
    service will be held at 11 a.m.
    Wednesday. Burial will be in
    Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, West
    Shelby.

    LOCKPORT. Aug. 5-A Wright's
    Corners excavating and grading contractor,
    Albert S. Bowers. 64. died
    today at the City hospital. Mr.
    Bowers, who had been In falling
    health for over a year, was associated
    with his sons. Layton J.,
    Robert J. and Wlllard C. Bowers,
    under the name of A. S. Bowers and
    Sons at Wright's Corners where he
    had been In business since 1922.
    Born In the Town of Royalton, Mr.
    Bowers was a son of John and Mary
    Bowers. He spent his early life on
    a farm and as a young man operated
    a blllard room at Gasport. Later he
    entered the trucking business there.
    Moving to Wright's Comers, Mr.
    Bowers opened a gravel pit. This
    business he expanded to excavating
    and black topping for which he was
    well known throughout the county.
    He was a member of St. Mary's
    church and the Holy Name society.
    Besides the sons, he leaves a
    daughter, Mrs. William A. Remington,
    this city: two brothers, Nicholas,
    6f Gasport, and John, of this city,
    and three sisters, Mrs. Theresa
    Smoyer. of Tonawanda. Mrs. Elizabeth
    McDonald, of Buffalo and Mrs.
    Louise Argue, of this city.
    Services will be held Saturday at
    8:30 a. m. from the Gaul funeral
    home and at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's
    church.

    The funeral of Nora Bowers was
    held Monday morning at 8:30 from
    Clemens O. Gaul Funeral Home,
    East Avenue and 9:00 at St.
    Mary's Church. Requiem high mass
    was sung by Reverend John H.
    Aughtman. The bearers were Lee
    ???, Harry Frick, Mert Degan,
    ???Murphy. Solomon Meyers and
    ??? Heary. interment was at
    the United Roman Catholic Cem-
    tery. Williamsviile.

    LOCKPORT, May 4-The funeral
    of Mrs. Nora M. Bowers, 58, wife
    of Albert Bowers, who died yesterday
    at her home. Wright's Corners,
    N. Y., after an illness of three years,
    will be held Monday at 8:30 a. m.
    from the Gaul funeral home, 263
    East avenue, and at 9 o'clock at St.
    Mary's church. Burial will be at
    Williamsville. N. Y.
    Mrs. Bowers was born at Williamsville,
    N. Y., but har resided
    23 years at Wright's Corners, where
    her husband is in the sand and
    gravel business. Prior to that she
    resided in Gasport, N.Y.
    Besides her husband, she Is sur-
    vived by three sons and a daugh-
    ter. Lay ton. Robert, Wlllard and
    Norine Bowers, all of Wright's Cor-
    ners: a sister, Clara Seitz, and
    three brothers, Albert, Charles and
    Ion Seitz, all of Williamsville.
