    Oneida, died Feb 5, 1954 in Onei-
    da City Hospital after a two
    weeks illness.
    He was born Oct 25. 1888, In
    Oneida son of George and Eliza-
    beth Bishoff Angel, Oneida.
    Mr Angel was employed by
    the New York Central Railroad
    for 48 years and was a gate
    tender at the time he was taken
    ill.
    He was a member of the Railroad
    Maintenance Worken Union
    and of St John's Episcopal
    Church. He was employed on
    the Barge Canal at one time.
    Mr. Angel married the former
    Rebecca Mickle at the Presbyterian
    Manse in 1913.
    Surviving besides his wife and
    parents are a brother, Frank
    Angel, Syracuse, a former resident
    of Oneida, the two slsters,
    and several nieces and nephews.
    The funeral will be from the
    home of his parents, 240 Liberty
    St., at 2 today. The Rev. Roswell
    Williams, rector of St. John's
    Episcopal Church, will officiate.
    Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.

    ONEIDA - George R. Angel,
    88. of 240 Liberty St., died at
    his home, May 3, 1957, after a
    long illness.
    He was born in Little Falls,
    June 15, 1868, the son of Mr.
    and Mrs. George F. Angel. A
    life resident of this city, he was
    a retired employee of New York
    Central Railroad.
    His wife, Elizabeth Etanoff
    Angel, died Oct. 10, 1955.
    Mr. Angel attended the First
    Presbyterian Church and was
    a member of the Brotherhood
    of Railroad Clerks.
    He leaves two daughters,
    Mrs. J. A. Murphy, wife of
    Oneida's Police Chief; Mrs. Mar-
    garet Richardson of Oneida; a
    son, Frank Angel of Manhus;
    a sister, Mrs. Florence Sassen-
    berry of Rome; five grandchil-
    dren; elecen great-grandchil-
    dren.
    The funeral will be at 2 Mon-
    day from the family home with
    the Rev. James J. Morley, pas-
    tor of the First Presbyterian
    Church officiating. Burial will
    be in Glenwood Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the home
    today and tomorrow.

    Angel, 85, of 240 Liberty St., wife
    of George Angel, died at her home
    yesterday after a long illness. She
    was the mother-in-law of Police
    Chief J. A. Murphy.
    Mrs. Angel was born in Oneida,
    June 6, 1870, a daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Jacob Bischoff. She was
    married to Mr. Angel Nov. 23,
    1887 in Oneida. She was a mem-
    ber of the F i r s t Presbyterian
    Church.
    Surviving besides her husband
    are a son, Frank Angel, Syracuse;
    two daughters, Mrs. James A.
    Murphy, and Mrs. Margaret Richardson,
    both of Oneida; five grandchildren
    and 11 great grandchildren.

    Oneida - Thanksgiving Day
    meant another milestone in life for
    Mr. and Mrs. George R. Angel,
    440 Liberty St., who were married
    51 years ago. Friends and rela-
    tives called to extend congratula-
    tions and there was a dinner for
    the family.
    Mr. Angel worked for the New
    York Central Railroad 45 years,
    23 of which was in his home city.
    he retired last year on pension,
    the first local railroad man to
    leave under federal pension.
