With great sadness we announce the passing of Ruth L. Schwenkbeck, our loving and devoted mother, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on June 26, 2020.
She was the beloved mother to Rahima (Sean Young) Schwenkbeck, Mohamed Aziz Islam, Sharifa (Christopher) Mang. Survived by her sibilings, John (Mary) Schwenkbeck, Nancy (Tom) Gills, Karl (Mickie) Schwenkbeck, Robert (Donna) Schwenkbeck; also by many other loving relatives and friends.
She has lived a very full and adventurous life; but, most of all she loved her family and instilled in her children strong values, and a desire to make the world a better place. She will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
She has graciously donated her body to University at Buffalo. The family is holding a private celebration of life in her honor.
Donations to the American Civil Liberities Union or Niagara County SPCA are welcome in lieu of flowers for the family.Published on June 29, 2020

John married ELDRIDGE, Edna Mae on 7 Sep 1946. Edna was born on 28 Oct 1919; died on 30 Dec 1972. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Notes:

After the divorce of this couple, the children went to live with William Schwenkbeck and Mollie. After Mollie died in 1926, the children were old enough to be on their own, but the children of William and Mollie were placed in an orphanage. All this according to Karlheinz Schoenfeld in 11/97.

John was baptized Johannes Jacob. He was a stationary engineer for the Niagara Falls Board of Education. This according to Juanita Halliday Josey's FTM data.
