    Evelyn Mae Udell, age 88, of Lockport, entered into rest on Monday, April 23, 2018 at Eastern Niagara Hospital in Lockport. Born January 6, 1930 in Lockport, Evelyn is the daughter of the late Melvin and Dorothy (Chase) Blacklock.
    Evelyn married Frank Udell in 1949. Mr. Udell died in 1982. Evelyn enjoyed spending time with family and friends. She is a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses in Lockport.
    Surviving Evelyn are her children, Thomas (Linda) Udell, Richard (Sharon) Udell, David (Joanne) Udell and Cheryl (Fred) Jaquin; grandchildren, Wendy (Scott), Craig (Leah), Ryan, Steven, Derrick (Wendi), Garrett and Sarah; sister of Marie Tagg, Loren (Ann) Budde, Melvin (Jane) Budde, Mildred Harris, Sharon (Roy) Pecheco, Raymond (Cheryl) Blacklock and the late Arthur, Bobby and Gerald Budde. Several great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive Evelyn.
    There will be no prior visitation. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be at North Ridge Cemetery, Cambria, NY.
    In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Niagara Hospice.

    Evelyn Mae Budde. daughter of

    William Udell, Donner Road, Lock-
    port. The double-ring ceremony
    was performed Saturday afternoon
    with the pastor of the church; the
    Rev. Victor Hoyer, officiating.
    Olven In marriage by her grand-
    father, William Budde of Niagara
    Falls, the bride was clad In a white
    taffeta gown fashioned with three
    quarter length sleeves and full skirt
    with net over-drape caught at the
    bottom with white bows. A two-
    atrang pearl necklace adorned the
    high neckline, and she wore match-
    ing earrings and white net mitts.
    Her double veil of scalloped Illusion
    fell to her finger tips from a Mary
    Queen of Scots bonnet. She carried
    a colonial bouquet of white roses
    white iris and sweet peas, fash-
    ioned against a lace background,
    and tied with white satin ribbon
    Her maid of honor. Miss Doris
    CrutU, of Appleton. wore a gown of
    pink brocaded taffeta with match-
    ing headdress of pink roses and
    colonial bouquet of red roses and
    sweet peas.
    Miss Janice Budde of Appleton
    was bridesmaid. She wore blue
    brocaded taffeta with a pink rose
    headdress and carried talisman
    rosea and sweet peas. The flower
    girls,
    the Misses Sharon Budde and
    Bonnie Schultz. were clad In pink
    and blue taffeta dresses with
    matching bands of flowers in their
    hair. Red roses, iris and sweet peas
    composed their colonial bouquets
    Howard Hyde of Lockport was
    best man and usher was Robert
    Budde of Appleton.
    "I Love You Truly". "O Prom-
    ise Me", and "A Wedding Pray-
    ;er" were sung bv Mrs. Dorothy
    IReinbolt of Wrights Corners, ac-
    companied by Organist Nina Bates.
    Following the ceremony a buffet
    lunch was served In the church hall
    the table being centered with a
    brides cake topped by a miniature
    bride and groom. Our-of-town
    friends attended from Lockport, Ni-
    agara Falls, Wlson and Johnson
    Creek.
    For a weddng trip the bride
    changed to a navy blue suit with
    white accessories. Upon their re-
    turn the bridal couple will live In
    North Hartland.
    During World War II the groom
    -erved for three years as a private
    first class in the U. S. Army where
    he saw action In the European the
    theater.

    The marriage of Miss Dorothy Chase
    and Melvln Budde of Appleton took
    place at the Rldgewood chapel on Saturday
    afternoon at 2 o'clock, the German
    Lutheran minister officiating. The
    couple were attended by Miss Leone
    Budde and Mr. Lynford Chase, a
    brother of the bride. The bride wore a
    gown of white silk, crepe and carried
    pink roses. Mr. and Mrs. Budde left
    for a short trip, and upon their return
    will reside at the home of Mr. Budde's
    grandmother.

    services will be held tomorrow af-
    ternoon at 2 o'clock from the fam-
    ily residence for Robert O. Budde.
    79. Checkertavern road, and at 2.30
    o'clock at the Ridgewood Lutheran
    church with burial in North Ridge
    Lutheran cemetery*.
    Mr. Budde died Wednesday at
    his home and leaves.his wife, three
    sons and three. daughters. Mrs.
    Robert Soldwlsh of Toledo. O. Wil-
    liam Budde of Niagara Falls. Ed-
    ward Budde and Mrs. Walter Mein-
    ke of Newfane. Mrs. Elmer Curtis
    and Howard Budde of Hartland

    BUDDE-Marie Hausman Budde,
    widow of Robert G. Budde, Bishop
    Road, Hartland, entered into rest
    at the home of her daughter, Mrs.
    Elmer Crutts, Bishop Road, Hart-
    land, Wednesday, Nov. 14, 1951.
    She is survived by three sons and
    three daughters, Mrs. Robert Sold-
    wish and Mrs. Walter Meinke of
    Toledo, O.; William Budde of Ni-
    agara Falls, N. Y.; Edward Budde
    of Johnson Creek; Mrs. Elmer
    Crutts and Howard Budde of Hart-
    land; 12 grandchildren, 13 great-
    grandchildren; 2 great-great-grand-
    children; seven step-grandchildren
    also, one sister, Mrs, Fred Newman
    of Toledo, O, Friends may call at
    the home of her son, Howard
    Budde, Bishop Road, Hartland,
    where services will be held Satur-
    day afternoon at 2 o'clock and at
    Ridgewood Lutheran Church at

    Thirty guests were seated at a
    table decorated with Christmas can-
    dles and flowers, when Mr. and Mrs.
    Robert Budde celebrated their 55th
    wedding anniversary Wednesday
    evening at a dinner served at 7
    o'clock at the home of their young-
    est daughter, Mrs. Walter Meinke
    in Newfane.
    Mr. Budde, who Is now 78, came
    to this country from Germany when
    a youth. Mrs. Budde, who was then
    Miss Marie Hausman, came from
    the same country at the age of 17.
    She Is now 74. They were married In
    1884 in the Lutheran church at
    North Ridge and for the past 40
    years have lived on the Checker-
    tavern road. North Hartland.
    They had 11 children, of whom six
    are now living. They are Mrs. Emma
    Soldwish, Toledo; William, Niagara
    Falls;
    Edward, Newfane; Mrs.
    Lillian Crutts and Howard Budde,
    North Hartland; Mrs. Leona Meinke.
    Newfane, ten grandchildren and
    seven great grandchildren.

    On December 16th Mr. and Mrs.
    Robert G. Budde of Hartland, cele-
    brated their 50th wedding annivers-
    ary by entertaining 100 guests at a
    6 o'clock dinner held in the Em-
    manuel Lutheran church parlor of
    Ridgewood.
    Mrs. Budde, dressed in black lace
    with a corsage of roses, graciously
    received the guests. As a part of
    the entertainment Emma Soldwish,
    the eldest daughter, sang "Silbeer
    Haired Parents of Mine." One of
    the most entertaining features was
    a mock wedding which caused much
    amusement.
    Among those preent were John
    Hausman, who was best man at the
    first wedding. Mr. and Mrs. Budde
    have six children living, ten grand-
    children, al of whom were present
    except two and 5 great grandchild-
    ren.
    Mr. and Mrs. Budde were the
    recipients of many gifts and many
    caards of congratulation.
