Joseph A. Klail, 81, of 510 56th
St., a resident of this city for 49
years, died Saturday (July 21, 1956)
at Niagara C o u n t y Sanatorium,
Lockporl. Mr. Klail had been ill
for some time.
Born in Austria, he came to this
country in 1907 and was employed
as an assembler, until his retirement
in 1940, at the American
Brake Shoe and Foundry Co., formerly
located here.
Survivors include two daughters,
Mrs. Frances Chateauneuf and Mrs.
John R. Maulis; two sons Anthony
Klail and Joseph A. Klail Jr., all
of this city, and four grandchildren
and three greatgrandchildren.
The family said contributions to
Niagara County Sanatorium will.be
acceptable as tributes.
Services will be conducted at 1:30
p.m. tomorrow at the Lane.Funeral
Home by the Rev. Shirley L,.Travis,
pastor of First Methodist Church.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.

Thomas J. Walsh, 81, of 781
Monteagle St. died today (May 17,
1955) in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital
after a short illness.
Born in Merriton, Ont., he had
lived in this city for the last 58
years. He was a bricklayer and
worked on many construction jobs
before he retired three years ago.
He was a member of the Bricklayers
Union.
He was a member of St. Teresa
of the Infant Jesus Church.
He is survived by two sons,
Thomas A. Walsh and James B.
Walsh; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph
Klail; four grandchildren and two
great grandchildren, all of this city.
He also is survived by a brother,
Matthew Walsh, Merriton.
Funeral services will be held Friday
at 8:15 a.m. at the Redanz
Funeral Home and at 9 a.m. at
St. Teresa's Church. Interment will
be in St. Mary's Cemetery
