Holdridge, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Frank Holdridge of Niagara
St., Tonawanda, to Eugene L. Berg,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Carles Berg
of Morgan St.
The wedding was performed
April 25 in the Rectory of St.
Mary's Church, Dunkirk.
Mrs. Vinona Holdridge, cousin of
the bride, of Dunkirk, and Fred
J. Berg, brother of the bridegroom,
were attendants.
After a short honeymoon, Mr.
and Mrs. Berg are at home in 502
Deer St., Dunkirk.

BERG - Anna L. Berg, (nee
Dreier) 98, of Tonawanda. Friday,
Dec. 19, 1986 at the Extended Care
Unit in DeGraff Memorial Hospital
A native of Tonawanda, she was the
wife of the late Charles H. Berg Sr
and mother of the late Richard B.
Berg.
Mrs. Berg was a member of St.
Francis of Assisi Church Ladies of
Charity, Tonawanda Senior Citizens
and the Salvation Army Golden
Agers She is survived by a daughter,
Mrs Eugene (Mary) Engelhart
of North Tonawanda, five sons,
Charles Berg of Chula Vista, CA ,
Frederick (Gertrude) Berg, of
North Tonawanda; Robert (Norma)
Berg of Kenmore, Howard (Maxine)
Berg and Eugene (Gloria) Berg,
both of North Tonawanda, 20 grandchildren,
27 great-grandchildren
and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call Saturday evening
from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to
4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at John O. Roth
Funeral Home Inc , Morgan and
William streets , Tonawanda A
mass of Christian burial will be
celebrated in St. Francis of Assisi
Church, Monday, at 9:30 a.m. The
Rev Msgr Ralph M Miller will
officiate Burial will be in Mt. Olivet
Cemetery.

Mr. and Mrs. Fred Drier announce
the marriage of their daughter Anna,
to Mr. Charles Berg. The ceremony
was performed by the Rev. A. A. Bachmann
at the parsonage of the St. Francis
church on Adam street.

Fred J. Berg, a well known
resident of Tonawanda, died this
morning at the home of his son,
Charles, 63 Morgan street. Born
in Tonawanda 83 years ago, Mr.
Berg had resided here all his life.
He was one of the organizers of
the Bliss Hose company, one of
the first fire fighting organizations
in the Tonawandas.
A Democratic leader, he served
as alderman from the Second
Ward during the regime of the
late Mayor William C. Hubman.
Mr. Berg was a member of the
St. Francis church, the Holy
Name society and Lumber City
Tent, No. 93, K.O.T.M.
Mr. and Mrs. Berg celebrated
their 60th wedding anniversary
last August.
Surviving are his wife, Mary,
nee Holler; three sons, Charles and
Louis Berg of Tonawanda ami Eugene
of North Tonawanda-; a
daughter, Mrs. Arthur Hey; nine
grandchildren and three great
grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
Wednesday morning at 3:30
o'clock from the Hamp Funeral
Home 37 Adam street, and at 9
o'clock from the St. Francis
church. Msgr. John A. Weismantel
will officiate. Burial will be
in Mt. Olivet.

Mrs. Mary M. Berg, nee Holler,
81, died this morning at the home
of her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Hey,
53 East Felton street. A lifelong
resident of the Tonawandas, she
was a member of the St. Francis
church, the altar society and the
Rosary society of the church, the
Catholic Daughters and the Women's
Benefit association. Surviving
are a daughter, Mrs. Hey; three
sons, Charles and Louis of Tonawanda
and Eugene of North Tonawanda;
nine grandchildren, four
great grandchildren and a sister,
Mrs. Josephine Schwartz of Tonawanda.
Rites will be held Saturday
morning at 8:30 o'clock from
the Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam
street, and at 9 o'clock from the
St. Francis church. The Rt. Rev.
Msgr. John A. Weismantel will
officiate. Burial will be in Mt.
Olivet.
