    Camille J. "Cam" Fournier, age 89 of Wilson, died Sunday December 25, 2016 in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center after a lengthy illness.


    Cam was born June 10, 1927 in Piercefield, NY, the son of the late Camille E. and Madalen (Lamar) Fournier. He was a 1944 graduate of LaSalle High School and enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard in November of 1945. Cam served in the Pacific Theatre and was honorably discharged with the rank of ETM3C in December of 1947. In September of 1951 he married Margaret "Peggy Anne" Dengate and they moved to Wilson in 1959. Peggy Anne predeceased him in 2012. Cam was employed as an Electronic Technician by the NY State Thruway Authority, serving the Niagara Section of the Buffalo Thruway for 25 years, retiring in 1995.


    He was a communicant of St. Brendan on the Lake RC Church in Wilson. He enjoyed spending time in the Adirondack's and loved his family get togethers.




    He is survived by his children, Patricia (late Gerald) Penna of Rochester, NY, Theresa (Randy) Ludlow of Salt Lake City, UT, Paul (Carol) and Joseph (Carole) Fournier both of Lockport, Daniel (Diane) of Wilson, Michael (late Laurie) of Avon Lake, OH, and Leo (Gretchen) Fournier of Ransomville; 21 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren; a brother, Jeffrey Fournier of Raleigh, NC and a sister, Mary (James) Warne of Sanborn.




    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 2 - 8 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, December 29, at 10:00 AM at St. Brendan on the Lake RC Church, 345 Lake St., Wilson, with the Rev. Jozef` Dudzik officiating. (Please assemble at Church) Burial with Military Honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Dr., Lockport, NY 14094.

    WILSON — Margaret (Peg) (nee Dengate) Fournier, age 86, of Wilson, formerly of Niagara Falls and Ransomville, died at home under the care of Hospice.

    Peg was born October 27, 1925, in Lititz, PA, the third child of the late Francis and Mary (McMahon) Dengate. She graduated from Sacred Heart Academy High School in Lititz, PA, and from Mercyhurst College in Erie, PA, with a bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, where she served on the editorial staff of the college newspaper, the Merciad. She moved with her family to Niagara Falls during WWII, where she met and married Camille J. Fournier in 1951; they lived briefly in Texas and then settled in Niagara Falls for several years, eventually moving to Ransomville in 1959, where they resided until 2009, when they relocated to the Village of Wilson.

    While raising her family, she worked as a lab technologist for Ransomville Hospital and Mount St. Mary's Hospital, where she retired in 1992. In retirement, she was a Board of Election worker until her health deteriorated.

    Peg was an active member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church/St. Brendan's on the Lake R.C. parish in Wilson. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing bridge, traveling overseas, picnics and vacations to Allegany State Park and the Adirondacks.

    Peg was predeceased by her brothers, Francis Dengate and William Dengate; and her sister, Mary Burbee. She is survived by her husband, Camille; her children, Patricia (late Gerald) Penna of Webster, NY, Terri (Randy) Ludlow of Utah, Paul Fournier of Ransomville, Joseph (Carole) Fournier of Lockport, Daniel (Diane) Fournier of Wilson, Michael (late Laurie) Fournier of Ohio, Leo (Gretchen) Fournier of Ransomville; and 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law; brother-in-law; many nieces and nephews, and several cousins.

    The family would like to thank the daily caregiving staff and the Niagara Hospice staff, including Patrick Eagan, and especially Katie Gannon, for their care and support in Peg's final months.

    Friends and family may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Rd., Ransomville on Sunday from 2 to 8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, April 30, at 10:00 AM in St. Brendan's on the Lake R.C. Church-Wilson Site, 345 Lake St. (Rt. 425), Wilson. (Please assemble at church.) Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven R.C. Cemetery, Town of Lewiston.     RANSOMVILLE — Delilah (Urtel) Grzybowski, age 85, of Ransomville, went to her heavenly home on Sunday, October 17, 2010 in the Eastern Niagara Hospital in Newfane, after a brief illness.

    Delilah was born June 4, 1925 in Wilson, the eldest daughter of the late Edward and Mabel (Rohring) Urtel. She attended a one room school house on Chestnut Rd. in Wilson where she excelled, especially in spelling, and had won the Buffalo Evening News Spelling Bee. Delilah graduated from Wilson High School in 1942 at age 16, the first in her family to do so. She then attended business school where she earned her comptometer license. Delilah married Max J. Grzybowski on June 24, 1950. Max predeceased her on March 11, 1987. She was employed in the payroll office at Harrison Radiator in the 1950’s until she left to raise her family, and was a Niagara County Election Inspector for 45 years.

    Delilah enjoyed sewing, baking, gardening and was heavily involved with local 4H Programs with her daughters in the 60’s and 70’s. She was a member of St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, St. Peter’s Ladies Aide Society, the Wilson Lakeshore Mother’s Club and the Ransomville Rural Retirees. Delilah loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren whom she loved dearly and was so very proud of. She never missed a play, dance recital, concert or graduation ceremony, and attended as many sports events as time would allow.

    She is survived by her four daughters, Mary Jo (Kenneth) Higginbotham of Santa Clarita, CA, Janice (James) Sievert and Maxanne (Bill) Rees, both of Wilson, and Gretchen (Leo) Fournier of Ransomville; her grandchildren, Scott and Michelle Higginbotham, Joe and Jackie Sievert, Mercedees, Trey and Quinn Rees, Cooper, Logan and Bailey Fournier; her great-grandchildren, Shaianne Higginbotham, Serena Gelfman and Jaden Higginbotham. She was the beloved sister of Harold Urtel, Russell (Dorothy) Urtel, Helen (William) Bye, Elton "Bob" (Phyllis) Urtel, Hazel (Robert) Walker and the late Lawrence (Ann) Urtel. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at HARDISON FUNERAL HOME, 3648 Ransomville Road, Ransomville on Wednesday from 6-8 PM and Thursday from 3-8 PM. Funeral services will be held Friday, October 22 at 11:00 AM in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, with the Rev. Alexander Knowles officiating. Burial will follow in St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery. Delilah loved flowers, but she also loved helping others. Donations in her memory may be made to St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church at North Ridge, 4169 Church Rd., Lockport, NY 14094, or to a charity of one's choice.
