Frank M. Wasko was born on February 2, 1931 to the parents of Michael and Sophia (Nowak) Wasko. He passed away on February 2, 2017 at his home in Orlando, FL.
He was survived by his wife, Sally Ann Louise (Johnston) Wasko. They were married on September 26, 1970. He was also survived by his children, Marc (Lynette) Wasko of Orlando, FL, Gary (Louise) Wasko of Lewiston, NY, Sharon (Dean) Philips of Hepbizth, GA and Janice (Donald) McCombs of California; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Frank's career started at Moore Business Forms where he served his apprenticeship and became a Journeyman Photoengraver. In 1959, he was appointed to the Lewiston Police Department where he served until he retired in 1981. He became the Lewiston's first full-time Chief of Police in 1970. During his career, he wrote a grant that enabled the department to secure a radio system that could communicate with the New York State Police, Niagara County Sheriff's department and all the police departments in Niagara County. He also wrote grants and received radar unit and a breathalyzer. He was certified by the State Of New York as a radar instructor and a breathalyzer operator. Frank attended a course in crime prevention in Albany, NY and secured equipment that the residents could use it to mark their property at their home. Frank was a life-member of the New York State Chiefs of Police Association.
After retiring from the police department Frank went to work as the general manager of McDonald's Frontier House. In 1984, he was named Businessman of the Year. He was President of the Lewiston Business and Professional Association from 1984 to 1986. Through his efforts working with Lewiston-Porter School System, he was named the Friend of Education in 1989 by Lewiston-Porters Teachers Association. In 1991, Frank went to work for Burger King Restaurants in Niagara Falls and Buffalo Area and he remained until December of 2007. He finally retired from working and moved to Orlando, FL in early 2011 to be close to his son, Marc and family and enjoy the Florida weather. He enjoyed seeing his granddaughter's everyday after school.

The marriage of Miss Priscllla
Joyce Lodwick daughter of Mrs.

Mr. Thomas Lodwick, Lockport, to
Mr. Frank M. Wasko, son of Mr.

street, was solemnized Saturday
at St. Peter's E p i s c o p al
church, with the Rev. Blake B.
Hammond officiating.
Roses were used to decorate the
altar where th ecouple exchanged
marriage vows.
The musical setting for the Impressive
service was provided by
Mary Carolyn Neff, who played the
traditional wedding selections, and
Mr. Francis Fessenden.- soloist, who
sang "Because" and "Through the
Years."
The bride enfered the church on
the arm of Mr. Samuel Lloyd, who
gave her in marriage.
She wore a gown of moire taJfetta
with a yoke and puffed sleeves
of Chantilly lace. The bodice was
fitted. to the hips and her fullgathered
skirt extended into a court
train.
Her veil of silk illusion was edged
in Chantilly lace «m"d fell from a
queen's crown of seeded pearls and
rhlnestones.
She carried an arm bouquet of
white roses.
Miss Joan Hutsko, Detroit, cousin
of the bridegroom, was maid of
honor. Miss Charles Falbo, slater
of the bride, and Miss Terry Maellaro
were bridesmaids.
Mr. Howard Bates was best man.
Mr. Charles Falbo and Mr. Arthur
Albion were ushers.
After the wedding ceremony, a
reception for many guests was held
at the home of the bridegroom's
parehts.
For traveling, the bride chose a
suit of navy blue gabardine and
white accessories. She wore a corsage
of white roses.
After a motor trip, Mr. and Mrs.
Wasko will be at home at 2431
Twenty-first street, this city.

ring ceremony took place at
First Presbyterian Church of

The bride is the daughter
of Mrs. Gilbert Johnston, 772
Ridge Road, Lewiston, and
the late Mr. Johnston. Mr.
Wasko is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Michael Wasko, Wilson.
Edward Johnston gave his
niece in marriage. She wore
an ivory satin gown with
beaded Alencon lace accenting
the bodice, Victorian neckline,
Renaissance sleeves. Sculptured
lace edged the hemline
and detailed the detachable
chapel length train. A beaded
lace Camelot toque secured
her double waterfall veil and
she carried a bouquet of
stephanotis, white roses and
ivy.
MRS. JOHN T. STOFER
was her sister's matron of
honor. Her gown was
fashioned with ivory schiffli
lace bodice and long sleeves,
and a moss green chiffon
skirt. A moss green bow
secured her floor length veil
and she carried a bouquet of
orange carnations and white
roses.
Similarly attired were the
bridesmaids, Mrs. Nancy L.
Benson, sister of the bride;
Mrs. Susan Hatley; and..the
flower girls, M a r g a r et
Benson, Anne Marie Stofer
and Allison Stofer.
John T. Stofer was best
man. Ushers were Larry
