In retirement for the last 15
years, Frank Wasko, 2317 Fifth
St., died at his home saturday aft-
er a lengthy illness. He was 81.
Mr. Wasko had been employed at
the New York Central car repair
shop at Suspension Bridge for 28
years and retired in 1939.
Born in Austro-Hungary, Mr.
Wasko came to the United States
64 years ago and has been a resi-
dent of Niagara Falls since 1911.
Mr. Wasko held membership in the
Brotherhood of Railroad Car Men
of america and was a member of
the Greek Catholic Union of Amer-
ica for 45 years.
Surviving is a son, Michael Was-
ko, a grandson, Frank Wasko, and
one great grandchild, all of Niag-
ara Falls.
Funeral services will be held at
the Rhoney Funeral Home on Wed-
nesday at 8:15 a.m. and at St.
Mary's of the Byzantine Rite
Church at 9 a.m. Interment will
be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
Frank married Gustavni about 1896 in Hungary. Gustavni was born about 1873 in Hungary; and died. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
