  1. 1.  BISHARA, George S was born about 1917 in Cortland, Cortland County, NY (son of BISHARA, Alexander Saad and Nettie A); died on 6 Nov 1956 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY.

    George S. Bishara, 39, of 1410
    13th St., a partner in the Bishara
    Brothers Food Shop, Pierce Ave.
    at 13th St., died today (Nov. 6,
    1956) after a brief illness, at Mt
    St Mary's Hospital.
    Mr. Bishara was a native of
    Cortland and a resident of this cjfy
    for the last 38 years. He served
    with the Air Transport Command
    in the Burma Theater in World
    War II and earned three citations.
    He was a member of the Men's
    Society of St George's Greek
    Orthodox Church.
    Surviving are Mr. Bishara's wife
    Ruby (Bonnie); a daughter, Bonnie
    M., and a son, Carl G.; his mother,
    Mrs. Nettie Bishara, and four
    brothers, Carl, Frank, Robert and
    Joseph Bishara, all of this city; a
    fifth brother, Fuad. Bishara, Lebanon,
    and three sisters, Mrs. Ernest
    Wasmund and Mrs. James
    Slaiman, this, city, and Mrs. Richard
    Smith, Virginia Beach, Va.
    Funeral services will be held at
    1:30 p.m. Friday at the Redanz.
    Funeral Home, and a half hour
    later at St George's Church, with
    the Rey. Gabriel Salhany officiating.
    Burial will be in Memorial
    Park Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home after noon tomorrow.

    Linwood avenue, died today in
    Memorial hospital, after a short
    illness. He was born in Lebanon
    39 years. He was a retired emand
    had resided here for the last
    ploye of the Aluminum Company
    of America.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nettie
    Bishara, and six sons, Carl,
    George, Frank, Robert, Joseph
    Bishara, all of this city, .and Fred
    Bishara, L e b a n o n , and three
    daughters, Mrs. Ernest Wasmund,
    Mrs. James Slaiman and Miss
    May Bishara, all of this city.
    He is also survived by six sisters
    and one brother, all of Lebanon.
    Funeral services will be held at
    2 p. m. Thursday at the Otto Redanz
    Funeral home and at 2:30 p.
    m. at St. George's O r t h o d ox
    church, the Rev. Gabriel Salhany
    officiating. Interment will be in
    Oakwood cemetery.

    Greek Orthodox

    stricken ill at
    her home.
    Mrs. Bishara
    w a s born in
    Lebanon and
    was a resident
    of this city for
    t he l a s t 52
    years. She was
    a charter member of the St.
    George's Ladies Society, a
    member of Riverdale Rebecca
    Lodge No. 195 and the Golden
    Age Club. of .Whitney Avenue
    School.
    Her husband, Alex Bishara,
    died in 1953.
    Surviving are five sons, Carl,
    Frank, Robert and Joseph Bishara,
    this city, and Faud Bishara,
    in Lebanon; three daughters,
    Mrs. Ernest (Mary) Wasmund,
    Mrs. James (Mabel)
    Slaiman, and Mrs. May Smith,
    all of this city. 25 grandchildren
    and one great grandchild!
    Another son, George S. Bishara,
    predeceased her.
    Funeral services will be held
    at the Otto Redanz Funeral
    Home Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
    and at 1 p.m. at the St. George'
    Syrian Greek Orthodox Church.
    Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
    The family said that contributions
    to the building fund of
    St. George's Church will be acceptable
    as tributes.
