NORTH TONAWANDA — Frances W. Wass (nee Wright), age 92, of North Tonawanda, December 8, 2010 in Beechwood Nursing Home. Frances was a member of Payne Avenue Christian Church. She and her late husband, Emmett belonged to several bridge clubs, enjoyed traveling and both were volunteers at Artpark.
She was the wife of the late Emmett Wass, who died in 2006. Beloved mother of Dudley (Phyllis) Wass of Pendleton and Terry (Marlene) Wass of Dunbar, WV; grandmother of Timothy, Christina and Rebecca. She was the sister of the late Patrick Wright and Winifred Miller.
Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 AM, the Rev. Jerry McGlone will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.

A beautiful wedding was solemnized
Thursday evening. February 22,
when Miss Frances Eleanor Wright,
daughter of Mr and Mrs. Chauncey
Wright, of Youngstown, became the
bride of Mr Emmett Wass, son of
Mr and Mrs William Wass, of Barker.

performed the ceremony in the Barker
Methodist Episcopal church
"Trees. Falling Leaves' and "Moonlight
and Roses'' were played.
The bride, who was given in marriage
by her father, wore a floorlength
gown of white taffeta with
full skirt and puffed sleeves. She
wore a shoulder-length veil and
earned a bouquet of pink and white
roses.

the bride, and her only attendant.
wore a gown of pink taffeta. She
wore a tiara of pink and blue flowers
and earned a corsage of pink,
yellow and white roses.
The bridegroom was attended by
his brother. Mr. George Wass. The
ushers were Mr. Loren Wright,
brother of the bride, and Mr. Lewis
Rhodes, nephew of the bridegroom
After the ceremony a reception
was held at the home of the bride's
parents.
After a short motor trip. Mr. and
Mrs. Emmett Wass will reside at
1713 Pine avenue, this city.
Pre-nuptials included a green
and white bedroom shower given by
Miss Winifred Wright nnd Mrs. Loren
Wright and a variety shower
given by Mrs. George Wass and
Mrs. Henry Rhodes.
