    NORTH TONAWANDA — Frances W. Wass (nee Wright), age 92, of North Tonawanda, December 8, 2010 in Beechwood Nursing Home. Frances was a member of Payne Avenue Christian Church. She and her late husband, Emmett belonged to several bridge clubs, enjoyed traveling and both were volunteers at Artpark.

    She was the wife of the late Emmett Wass, who died in 2006. Beloved mother of Dudley (Phyllis) Wass of Pendleton and Terry (Marlene) Wass of Dunbar, WV; grandmother of Timothy, Christina and Rebecca. She was the sister of the late Patrick Wright and Winifred Miller.

    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 2-6 PM. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Monday at 10:30 AM, the Rev. Jerry McGlone will officiate. Interment in Acacia Park Cemetery.

    A beautiful wedding was solemnized
    Thursday evening. February 22,
    when Miss Frances Eleanor Wright,
    daughter of Mr and Mrs. Chauncey
    Wright, of Youngstown, became the
    bride of Mr Emmett Wass, son of
    Mr and Mrs William Wass, of Barker.
    N. V . the Rev. Earl L. Winters
    performed the ceremony in the Barker
    Methodist Episcopal church
    "Trees. Falling Leaves' and "Moonlight
    and Roses'' were played.
    The bride, who was given in marriage
    by her father, wore a floorlength
    gown of white taffeta with
    full skirt and puffed sleeves. She
    wore a shoulder-length veil and
    earned a bouquet of pink and white
    roses.
    Miss Winifred Wright, sister of
    the bride, and her only attendant.
    wore a gown of pink taffeta. She
    wore a tiara of pink and blue flowers
    and earned a corsage of pink,
    yellow and white roses.
    The bridegroom was attended by
    his brother. Mr. George Wass. The
    ushers were Mr. Loren Wright,
    brother of the bride, and Mr. Lewis
    Rhodes, nephew of the bridegroom
    After the ceremony a reception
    was held at the home of the bride's
    parents.
    After a short motor trip. Mr. and
    Mrs. Emmett Wass will reside at
    1713 Pine avenue, this city.
    Pre-nuptials included a green
    and white bedroom shower given by
    Miss Winifred Wright nnd Mrs. Loren
    Wright and a variety shower
    given by Mrs. George Wass and
    Mrs. Henry Rhodes.

    EAST WILSON - Chauncey
    Wright, 76, retired farmer, died
    Friday (July 25, 1958) at his home,
    243 Green St., Lockport, after ap
    illness of several years.
    Mr. Wright, who farmed for
    many years in East Wilson, retired
    about five years and moved
    to Lockport about four years ago.
    He was born Feb. 16, (882, the
    son of William and Louise Hill
    Wright.
    Survivors include his wife, Mrs.
    Matie Dennis Wright; two daughters,
    Mrs. Harold Miller, Newfane,
    and Mrs. Emmet Waas, North
    Tonawanda; seven grandchildren,
    and a brother, Walter Wright,
    Lockport.
    Services will be conducted at
    2 p.m. Monday at the Gaul Funeral
    Home, Lockport, by the Rev.
    Nolan Brrsco. Burial will be in
    North Ridge Cemetery.

    Mrs. Louisa Wright, a former resident,
    aged 80 years on April 23rd, died
    at her late home in Wilson on Saturday
    morning after a lingering illness.
    She is survived by two daughters, Mrs.

    EAST WILSON, N. Y.-Mrs. Nellie
    J. Dennis, 79 years old, widow of
    Morris Dennis, died this morning
    at her home in Chestnut road, after
    an illness of almost six years.
    Until ill health prevented, Mrs.
    Dennis was an active member of
    the East Wilson Methodist church
    and its organizations. She and her
    husband celebrated their fiftyfourth
    wedding anniversary' shortly
    before his death four years ago.
    He had been a successful farmer
    here.
    Mrs. Dennis is survived by one
    son, Clayton Dennis, at home; four
    daughters, Mrs. Chauncey Wright,
    of Youngstown, N. Y„ Mrs. Robert
    Hanson and Mrs. Donald. Linck,
    both of Lockport, and Mrs. Paul
    Kinsella, of Wilson, N. Y.; ten
    grandchildren, two great grandchildren,
    t«o great grandchildren
    and one sister. Mrs. Frank Parks, of
    North Ridge, N. Y.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday
    afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at
    the family home. The Rev. Louis
    Teague will officiate. Interment
    will be in North Ridge cemetery.
