    NORTH TONAWANDA — Kenneth A. "Ken" Stange, age 81, of North Tonawanda, November 1, 2010 in DeGraff Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

    Ken was a past president and owner of Stange Agency, Inc. He retired in 1994 after 43 years. Prior to the Stange Agency he worked as a Cabinetmaker for Gratwick Lumber. He was an active life-long member of St. Mark Lutheran Church; he served as Superintendent of St. Mark Cemetery and had served as Treasurer of St. Mark for many years as well as in various other positions. He was a Yankees fan and enjoyed traveling in his motor home and handing out his "free ticket." He was the son of the late John and Elsie (Meyers) Stange.

    Beloved husband of Gloria (Behm) Stange for over 60 years; father of Douglas (Kathleen) Stange and Dennis (Paula) Stange, both of North Tonawanda; grandfather of Katie (Steven) Becker, Tracy (Steven) Dombrowski, Amanda, Bradley, Marilou, and Melanie Stange; great-grandfather of Carter Becker; father-in-law of Melissa (Kurt) Jaeger; nephew of Erna Behm.

    No prior visitation, funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM from St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St. in North Tonawanda, the Rev. Patrick McKenzie will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Cemetery or Niagara Hospice.

    Gloria B. (nee Behm) Stange, age 84, of North Tonawanda, April 1, 2014 in Buffalo General Hospital. Gloria was a lifelong member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. She enjoyed traveling with her late husband, Ken, and playing cards. She was a proud grandmother and great-grandmother.
    She was the wife of the late Kenneth A. Stange, who died in 2010; they had been married for over 60 years. Beloved mother of Douglas (Kathleen) Stange and Dennis (Jane) Stange, both of North Tonawanda. Proud grandmother of Katie (Steven) Becker, Tracy (Steven) Dombrowski, Amanda, Bradley, Marilou and Melanie Stange. Great-grandmother of Carter, Colton and Kennedy Becker. Mother-in-law of Melissa (Kurt) Jaeger and Paula Stange.

    announce the marriage of Mrs.
    Gath's daughter, Miss Gloria
    Jane Behm to Kenneth A. Stange,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stange,
    on Saturday, June 10, at 6 p.m. in
    St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran
    Church, Oliver St., the Rev. Paul
    Fretthold officiating. Altar vases
    of white carnations, lilies and
    snapdragons with palms and can-
    delabra formed the background
    for the ceremony.
    Martin Brauer sang "Because"
    preceding the ceremony and "The
    Lord is My Shepherd" accompanied
    by William Haeseler Jr.
    uncle of the groom, at the organ."
    Mr. Haeseler rendered appropriate
    wedding music preceding and
    during the ceremony. White
    ribbons and flowers marked the
    family pews.
    The bride, given in marriage
    by Mr. Gath, was lovely in a
    gown of white satin with tightly
    fitted basque waist, with long
    pointed sleeves, an illusion off-
    the-shoulder neckline outlined
    with a bertha ruffle of chantilly
    lace. The bouffant skirt was
    adorned with a ruffle of the lace
    forming an apron effect in front
    and dropping to the edge of the
    rounded cathedral length train.
    Her fingertip veil of French illusion
    was edged in front with a
    single ro wof matching lace and
    a triple row in back and held in
    place with a Sweetheart tiara of
    seed pearls and lace. She carried
    an arm bouquet of white roses,
    lily-of-the-valley, and blue bells
    with blue and white streamers
    with lily-of-the-valley. The bride
    wore a double strand of pearls,
    the gift of the groom.
    Her maid-of-honor, Miss Audrey
    Haeseler, cousin of the
    groom, was gowned in white swiss
    organdy with a pink leaf pattern
    over pink taffeta full skirt and
    ruffled bolero. Her crownless hat
    of white organdy was edged in
    matching pink taffeta. She carried
    an arm bouquet of red roses
    and snapdragons, tied with pink
    taffeta and red streamers of
    dainty flowers. Mrs. Norman
    Thorn and Miss Helen Baran,
    bridesmaids, wore green gowns
    and white hats like that of the
    maid-of-honor and carried pink
    roses tied with green taffeta and
    pink streamers. The junior bridesmaid,
    Miss Nancy Hoffmeister,
    cousin of the bride, wore an identical
    yellow costume and carried
    yellow roses and daisies with salmon-
    colored streamers. All wore
    a double strand of beads and
    bracelets, the gift of the bride.
    The flower girls, the little Miss-
    es Diane Meyers and Sharon
    Stang, cousins of the groom,
    wore gowns of frosted white or-
    gandy over yellow taffeta with a
    ruffle at the neckline and the
    bottom of the skirt. A large bow
    formed a bustle in back. They
    wore crownless white organdy
    hats tied at the chin and carried
    hoops of roses and mixed flowers
    tied with a vbariegated ribbonn of
    pastel colors. Both girls wore
    gold crosses, their gift from the
    bride.
    Mr. Stange chose his cousin,
    William Haeseler III as his best
    man, and Lyle Hoffmeister, cou-
    sin of the bride, and Duane Brock
    er as ushers. He presented them
    with gold initialed tie clasps and
    belt buckles.
    Mrs. Gath, mother of the bride,
    wore an aqua marquisette dress
    with white accessories and an all
    white corsage of roses and mixed
    flowers. The groom's mother wore
    blue lace with white accessories
    and a corsage of yellow roses and
    mixed flowers. Both Mrs. Bernhard
    A. Behm and Mrs. August
    Stange, grandmothers of the bride
    and groom wore print dresses with
    black accessories and corsages of
    yellow roses.
    After the ceremony, a dinner
    was served , from lace-covered
    tables for the family and friends
    in the Bergholtz Community Hall
    with covers for' 150. The bridal
    table was centered with a threetiered
    bride's cake, topped with a
    miniature bride and groom which
    has previously adorned the wedding
    cakes of the bride's grandmother
    and mother. It was flanked
    on either side with Sweetheart
    cakes bearing the names of the
    bride and groom. A reception followed.
    For traveling, the bride wore a
    two-piece toast-colored dress with
    three-quarter length sleeves and
    straw and toast colored accessories,
    and a corsage of yellow carnations.
    After a wedding trip to
    Philadelphia, Washington, and the
    Sky-line Drive, the couple will be
    at home in 21 Lin wood Avenue
    until completion of their new
    home, 287 North Ave.
    Pre-nuptial parties for the
    bride were given by Mrs. William
    Haeseler Jr. and Miss Audrey
    Haeseler, Mrs. Arthur Behm, and
    Mrs. Christ Hoffmeister, Mrs. William
    Behm, Mrs. Bernhard Hoffmeister,
    Miss Violet Andrees, and
    Mr. and Mrs. Norman Thom, Miss
    Darlene Busch, and. Gerald Heim,
    and a party after rehearsal for the
    bridal pair by Mr. and Mrs. John
    Stange..

    STANGE - August W. Stange, 81, died suddenly in his home, 265 North Ave.,
    North Tonawanda, Monday (March 28, 1960). Mr. Stange was born in Bergholz,
    N.Y., and had resided in North Tonawanda for the past 59 years. He retired
    in 1957 from the Buffalo Bolt Co. after being employed there for 23 years.
    Mr. Stange was a member of St. Marks Lutheran Church. He is survived by his
    wife, Minnie (nee Bluhm); a daughter, Mrs. William Behm; two sons, John W.
    and Arthur E. Stange; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and a

    Mrs. Stage was a member of St. Mark Lutheran Church, the Ladies Guild and

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs. Helen Meyers, nee Greinert, wife of Charles Meyers, died today at her home, 120 East Felton street at the age of 59 years. Bom in Bergholtz, N. Y., Mrs. Meyers had resided in North Tonawanda for the last 26 years. She was a member of the St. Mark's Evangelical Lutheran church and the Ladles Aid society. Besides her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. John W. Spange and Mrs. William Haeseler, Jr.. of this city; a son. Carl J. Meyers, of this city; three grandchildren; four brothers, Julius Greinert. of this city, and Otto, Theodore, and Edward Greinert of Wheatfield, and three sisters, Mrs. Anna Kumm. of Niagara Falls. Mrs. Gustav Heisterberg. of Pendleton, N. Y.. and Mrs. George Hilderbrant, of this city. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 pm. from the house and at 2:30 at St. Paul's church. The Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate. Interment will be in St. Mark's cemetery.
