    RENSSELAER - Russell J. Wagner, 66, of 2480 S. Logan Drive, died unexpectedly at 1:45 p.m. Monday, Jan. 13, at his winter home in Titusville, Fla.
    Mr. Wagner was a self-employed public accountant until his retirement in November.
    Born on Oct. 16, 1930, in Wolcott, he graduated from Wolcott High School and attended St. Joseph College. He had lived in Rensselaer since 1966, He married Delores J. "Dee" Haberkorn on Sept. 4, 1945, in Chatsworth, Ill., and she survives.
    Mr. Wagner was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Catholic Order of Foresters, Curtis Creek Country Club and Indiana Society of Public Accountants and a former member of Rensselaer School Board for 5-1/2 years. He served in the Army from 1951 until 1953.
    Surviving with his wife are three daughters, Mrs. Doug (Denise) Lauer of Duluth, Ga., Mrs. Thomas (Angela) Havranuk of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Michele Wagner of Bethesda, Md.; two brothers, Edward Wagner and Donald Wagner, both of Lafayette; and four sisters, Evelyn Harris of Remington, Margaret Limp of Rhonda Beach, Calif., and Lucille Perkins and Helen Perry, both of Kentland.

    Dolores Jeanette Wagner, age 90, of Mt Pleasant, SC, passed away peacefully at home on May 14, 2024.
    Dolores was born in Chicago on June 15, 1933, to William and Helen (Koehler) Haberkorn. She moved to Chatsworth, IL in 1939, where she attended Catholic School and graduated from Chatsworth High School in 1951.
    Dolores was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Russell J Wagner. They met on a blind date and were married on September 4, 1954. They lived in Wilcott, IN and Remington, IN before settling in Rensselaer, IN in 1968. Together, they enjoyed raising their three daughters, golf at Curtis Creek Country Club, and were members of St Augustine Catholic Church. Dolores was employed at the local bank, where she retired in 1994. Dolores moved to Titusville, FL in September 2014, where she enjoyed many rounds of golf and other activities. In 2017, she moved to Mt Pleasant to be near her daughter and grandchildren.
    Dolores is survived by her three daughters, Denise (Douglas) Lauer of Mt Pleasant, SC, Angela (Michael) Barber of Colorado Springs, CO, and Michele Wagner of Alexandria, VA.
    Dolores is also survived by her granddaughters, Cara Schuller of Mt Pleasant, SC, Brenna (Trey) Price of Brookhaven, GA, and Margo Barber of Thorton, CO; her great-grandson, Evan Etheredge of Mt Pleasant, SC; and her longtime friend and companion, Bob Sell of Goodland, IN.
    A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Lung Association.

    Miss Haberkorn Becomes Bride of Mr. Wagner
    Chatsworth - (PNS) -
    Miss Dolores Haberkorn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Haberkorn of Chatsworth, and Russell J. Wagner, son of Mr. and Mrs. John M. Wagner of Wolcott, Ind., were married Saturday morning in Sts. Peter and Paul Church.
    The Rev. J. E. Holland of Remington, Ind., celebrated the nuptial High Mass. Music was presented by the nuns of Sts. Peter and Paul School.
    Guests numbered 250 at the double ring ceremony.
    THE BRIDE, given in marriage by her father, wore a white ballerina length gown of Chantilly lace and nylon tulle net. It was fashioned with a fitted bodice with full skirt of lace, scalloped at the hemline to show the crystal pleated underskirt of net. A waist length lace jacket covered the strapless gown. The short sleeved jacked with a square neckline buttoned down the front.
    Her finger tip veil of French illusion had a lace edging and was held in place with a tiarra of sequins and pearls. She carried roses on a prayer book. Her only jewelry was a pearl necklace, a gift of the bridegroom.
    Miss Mary Inez Emond, Wolcott, Inc., was maid of honor and wore a gown of yellow French organdy with a scoop neckline and a brown velvet bolero jacket with matching mitts and headpiece. She carried a colonial bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums.

    REMINGTON - Mrs. Nealla M. Wagner, 83, of Remington, died at 10:40 a.m.Saturday in Rensselaer Care Center. She had been a patient there three years.
    She was born in Wolcott. In 1920 she was married, in Remington, to John M. Wagner, they fared in the Remington and Wolcott areas until his death in 1960. She then moved into Remington.
    Mrs. Wagner was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Rosary and Altar Society and Wolcott American Legion Auxiliary 294.
    Surviving are three sons, Edward Wagner of Battle Ground, Donald Wagner of Remington and Russell Wagner of Rensselaer; four daughters, Mrs. Elman (Lucille) Perkins) and Mrs. William (Helen) Perry, both of Kentland, Mrs. Evelyn Harris of Remington and Mrs. Margaret Limp of Manhattan Beach, Calif.
    Also surviving are a brother, Raymond Mathew of Rensselaer; and five sisters, Mrs. Iva Deno of Goodland, Mrs. Mabel Deno of Earl Park, Mrs. Lillian Faker of Kentland, and Ms. Lorene Anstett and Mrs. Rita Mahaffey, both of Ocala, Fla.
