    Ronald Marcus Haseley, devoted husband, father, and Lutheran minister, peacefully passed away on May 28, 2023. His life was a testament to faith, compassion, and the transformative power of love.
    Ronald was born on September 1, 1941, in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late Marcus and Lizzie Haseley. Educated in theology and ordained as a minister after completing his studies at Capital University and Trinity Lutheran Seminary. He dedicated his life to serving as a minister in Texas, Indiana, and Ohio for over 50 years. His sermons were marked by his profound knowledge of Scripture, his ability to translate its teachings into practical wisdom, and his gift for conveying spiritual guidance with both humility and clarity.
    Ronald's ministry extended beyond the walls of the church. Outside of his pastoral duties, Ronald cherished his role as a loving husband to his beloved wife Joanne and as a nurturing father to his three children, Michael Haseley, Beth Shelton (Evan), and Laura Haseley Wilson (Andy). He created a home filled with love, where faith, kindness, and forgiveness flourished. Ronald's dedication to his family was unwavering, and he instilled in them the importance of a life lived with purpose and compassion. Ronald is also survived by eight grandchildren, Michelle, Ian, Sam, Caitlyn, Elizabeth, Marcus, Hannah and Michael and brother Fred Haseley.
    A service to celebrate the life and ministry of Ronald Haseley will be held on June 6, 2023, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 4686 E Walnut St, Westerville, OH. Visitation at 10:00 with a service at 11:00. In honor of his memory, the family requests that donations be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church, Westerville, or Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio.
    As we bid farewell to Ronald, we take solace in knowing that he has found eternal peace and has been embraced by the loving arms of the Father. We will hold his memory close, cherishing the profound impact he made on our lives.

    Marcus A. W. Haseley, a life long resident of Sanborn, was called to his eternal home on Sept.10, 2010 at Fairchild Manor, Lewiston, NY. He was 101. Mr. Haseley was born in the Town of Lewiston, NY on Jan 23, 1909, He was the son of Albert and Anna (Ferchen) Haseley and attended local schools. Mr. Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn where he served as President, Trustee, School Building Committee member, Cemetery Committee Chairman, and various other positions. He was also a member of the church choir for more than 50 yrs. He was also a member of the Historical Society of North German Settlements in Western New York. In his youth, Mr. Haseley worked on the family farm until he began working at J. J. Haseley & Sons produce farm in Sanborn. He marketed and delivered produce to the Niagara Falls & Clinton-Bailey Markets for over 50 years before retiring in 1980. He was the oldest exempt member of the Sanborn Fire Company (82 yrs.). In his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, and was known for his roadside produce stand. He was an avid golfer, watched hockey, football, and baseball and enjoyed pheasant and deer hunting in his earlier years. He married his wife of 69 yrs, the former Lizzie D. Pfohl on Jan 12, 1939. Lizzie died in 2008. Survivors include sons, Rev. Ronald M.(Joanne) of Greensburg, IN; Frederick W. (Christy) of Roseville, CA; Mark J.(Marilyn) of Ransomville; sister Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield. He is also survived by five grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. He was brother to the late Norman, Wallace, Esther Beutel, William, Richard, Benjamin, and Albert. The family will be present Monday and Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the Rhoney Funeral Home, Sanborn, 5893 Hoover Road. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday in St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn at 11 AM. with Rev. Bruce M. Gamache officiating. Interment will be at St. Peter's Lutheran Cemetery, Wheatfield, NY. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Lutheran World Relief.

    Lizzie D. Haseley, formerly of Sanborn , NY, was called to her eternal home on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at Fairchild Manor, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY. She was 93.
    The former Lizzie Pfohl was born in the Town of Lewiston on September 23, 1915, she was the daughter of John and Eleonore [ Fahrenwald ] Pfohl, and was a lifelong resident of Sanborn where she attended local schools. Mrs. Haseley was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church choir for over 50 years. She was also a member of the Ladies Aid and other Circles within the church, visiting and sending cards to the sick and shut-ins, and making quilts for Lutheran World relief. She worked for J.J. Haseley & Sons, and accompanied her husband Marcus to the Niagara Falls Farmer's Market for over 40 years. She also had worked at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Rectory, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY for 19 years.
    Survivors include her husband of 70 years Marcus A., sons Rev. Ronald M. [ Joanne] of Greensburg, IN; Frederick W. [ Christy] of Roseville, CA; and Mark J. [ Marilyn ] of Ransomville, sister-in law, Lydia Stoelting of Wheatfield; 5 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Lizzie was the sister of the late Minnie Kroening, Sigmund, John, Martha Haseley, Louis, Verone Haseley, Max, and Eleonore Craft.

    She was a lifelong member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Sanborn, NY. Lizzie was baptized on October 3, 1915 and confirmed on Apr 21, 1929.
    On January 12, 1939 Lizzie & Marcus Albert Haseley were united in marriage. They were blessed with three children: Ronald M., Frederick W., and Mark J.
    She was a lifelong resident of Sanborn where she attended local schools. She worked for J.J. Haseley & Sons, and accompanied her husband Marcus to the Niagara Falls Farmer's Market for over 40 years. She also had worked at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church Rectory, Lewiston, Niagara County, NY for 19 years.
