NEWFANE, July 22 .-Miss Ger-
trude Kolbow of Hatter road, whose
marriage to Harold Wendler will
take place next month, will be guest
of honor at a black and white
kitchen shower this evening, with
Miss Helen Glnty as hostess.

NEWFANE, Aug. 14.- The home
Of Mr. and Mrs. Henry C. Kolbow,
Hatter road, was the scene Thursday
afternoon of a pretty wedding,
when their daughter, Gertrude, was
united in marriage to Harold E.
Wendler .son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward
Wendler, of the Hess road.
The Rev. Grover C. Bucher of the
Newfane Methodist church, per-
formed the ceremony.
The ring service was used an d
the bride was given in marriage by
her father. The wedding music con-
sisted of appropriate violin and pia-
no duets by the Misses Dorothy
and Jessie King.

.sister of the bride, was maid of
honor, and Glenn H. Kolbow, of
Olcott, a brother of the bride. was
best man. Beverley Gray, a niece,
was flower girl.
The bride's gown was white embroidered
mousseline de sole over a
full satin skirt, with square neckline
and puffed sleeves. Her bouquet
was of rases, gardenias and
gypsophelia. Her maid wore pink
net over satin, and carried pink
roses and gypsophelia. The brides
mother wore coral figured crepe,
and the mother of the groom wore
a blue sheer dress. Each wore corsages
of white gardenias. The little
flower girl wore blue organdy made
long, and trimmed with pink.
Following the ceremony, 50 guests
attended the reception. The rooms
were colorful with baskets of gift
flowers. White tapers adorned the
tiered wedding cake.
Immediately after the reception.
the bride and groom left on a trip
through the New England states,
the bride wearing a brown suit
with matching accessories. Upon
their return, Mr. and Mrs. Wendler
will be at home in the Hess road.
Guests were present at the marriage
from Buffalo, Lockport,
North Tonawanda, Clarence, Johnson
Creek and Shawnee.
