HENRY M. WENDT
DALTON - Henry M. Wendt, 64, of
State Road died Feb. 19, 1982 at
Wyoming County Community
Hospital in Warsaw following a long
illness.
Born in Tonawanda, he resided in
Dalton for the past 36 years. He was
employed by the state and worked at
Letchworth State Park in Portageville.
He was a member of the St.
Paul Lutheran Church in Angelica.
He is survived by his wife, Florence
Grimes Wendt; his mother, Elsie
Wendt of Plant City, Fla.; three
daughers, Mrs. Betty Roby of Dalton,
Mrs Mildred Bixby of Nunda, and
June Bauer of Phoenix, Ariz.; four
sons, Gordon of Phoenix, Ariz.,
Richard of Portageville, Ralph and
John of Dalton; one sister, Violet
Desautell of Plant City, Fla.; 15
grandchildren and five greatgrandchildren;
nine stepgrandchildren.
A funeral sevice was held Feb. 22 at
the Duryea Funeral Home in Nunda
with the Rev. Eldyn Simons of

Martin Wendt
Martin Wendt. 85, died Sunday. July
27, in Plant City, Fla., where he was a
resident. He formerly lived in Dalton.
He is survived by his wife Elsie: one
daughter. Violet Desautell of Plant
City, Fla.: one son. Henry of Dalton. A
son, Marvin of Plant City, and a
daughter, Virginia Markham of
Franklinville. NY., preceded him in
death.
The funeral and burial were in Plant
City Wednesday. July 30.

Elsie (daughter of ROSSEAU, Edward Wilhelm Heinrich and SAHR, Ida Ulricke Rosalia) was born on 8 Feb 1898 in Orleans County, NY; died on 29 Mar 1990 in Plant City, Hillsborough County, FL. The funeral of the late Mrs. Rose Wendt, wife of Ernest Wendt, of Martinsville, who was found dead in bed, will be held from the late home at Martinsville at 1:30 o'clock and at 2 o'clock from the St. Paul's church tomorrow afternoon. Burial will be in the St. Paul cemetery.

Edward Rosseau Claimed by Death
Edward W. H. Rosseau of Dalton, 77, born in North Tonawanda and a resident of that city the greater part of his life, died at Warsaw hospital May 21, 1946. A prayer service was held at the A. Jaenecke residence on the State Road near Angelica Friday. The funeral was held in St. Paul's Lutheran church in North Tonawanda and burial was made in St. Paul's cemetery in North Tonawanda. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Ida Sahr Rosseau; one daughter, Mrs. Martin Wendt of Dalton; four grandchildren, Mrs. Albert Jaenecke, Henry Wendt, Mrs. Louis Desautell and Marvin Wendt; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Rosseau ot Newfane and Louis Rosseau of Hartland Corners; one sister, Mrs. Eila Wass of Barker; also nephews and nieces.

Edward married SAHR, Ida Ulricke Rosalia about 1892 in New York. Ida (daughter of SAHR, Friedrich Otto and RICHERT, Ida Ulricke Rosalia) was born on 1 Apr 1871 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY; died on 2 May 1956 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

North Tonawanda, Wednesday

a granddaughter. Mrs. Albert

North Tonawanda. Survivors in-
clude a foster daughter, Mrs. Mar-
tin Wendt of Dalton; four grand-
children; 21 great-grandchildren;
four great-great-grandchildren, and
many nieces and nephews. She
was a sister of Gustav and Christ
Sahr, Mrs. Lewis Newman and
Mrs. Flora Smith, all of the Ton-
awandas. Friends may call at
Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oli-
ver St. at Ward Rd., North Tona-
wanda, where services will be at
2 p.m. Saturday, the Rev. Paul
H. Fretthold officiating. Burial
will be in St. Paul's Lutheran
Cemetery.

included Mr. and Mrs. Gust Sahr, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Newman, Mrs. Flora Smith, Mr. and Mrs.
Christ Sahr and Linda. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. Henry Wendt of Hunt and Mr. and Mrs.
Martin of Dalton, N. Y.
