    Eugene Wethy, 47 years old, of
    Pekin, died at 12:25 o'clock this
    morning at the New York Central
    .engine house here, where he was employed
    as a stationary fireman. Coroner
    Harry R. Ernes Investigated
    and reported that death was due to
    a heart attack.
    Mr. Wethy resided in the Upper
    Mountain road. He was born In
    Buffalo on January 21. 1894, but
    had resided ln Pekin 30 years. He
    was a veteran of the World War
    and a member of Sanborn Lodge.
    I. O. O. F. He suffered in a gas
    attack in the war, which had weakened
    his heart.
    He is survived by his wife, Mrs.
    Gertrude Wethy; two daughters.
    Mrs. Irene Moody, of Pekin, and
    Carol Jane Wethy, at home; one
    stepson, Richard Hulls, at home;
    his father, Fred Wethy, of Delevan,
    N.Y.; one sister, mrs. Ruth Petch,
    of Buffalo, and two brothers, Roy,
    of Sanborn, and Floyd, of Pekin.
    Arrangements were being made to-
    day to hold funeral services Wed-
    nesday afternoon.

    Funeral services for Eugene Martin
    Wethy, who died suddenly at
    the New York Central engine house
    at Niagara Falls early last Monday
    morning, were held at the
    family residence, in the Upper
    Mountain road, on Wednesday
    The Rev. P. L. Harburn, pastor
    of the Sanborn and Pekin Methodist
    churches, officiated and burial
    was In the North Ridge cemetery.
    The bearers were A. E. Patt, Albert
    Hutzel, Wlllard Dale. John
    Knox, Albert Schoelles, and Fred
    Sadler.
    Mr. Wethy Is survived by his wife,
    Mrs. Gertrude Crosier Wethy; two
    daughters, Mrs. Irene Moody, of
    Pekin, and Carol Jane ethy at
    home; one grandson, William
    Moody, Jr., his father, Fred Wethy,
    of Delevan, N. Y.; one sister, Mrs.
    Ruth Petch, of Buffalo and two
    brothers, Roy, of Sanborn, and
    Floyd, of Pekin.
    Miss Nellie Underhill of Rochester
    was a guest the past week of Mrs.
    Gertrude Wethy and family, of the
    Upper Mountain road.

    PEKIN, Aug. 14.-The marriage of
    Mrs. Gertrude O Hulls and Mr. Eugene
    M. Wethy, took place on Saturday,
    Aug. 11, a t eleven o'clock at the Methodist
    parsonage.
    The Rev. Arnold performed the
    ceremony using the ring service of the
    Methodist Episcopal church.. Their
    attendants were Mr. and Mrs. Roy
    Wethy.
    The bride wore an ensemble of pink
    crepe with pale green hat and blonde
    pumps and hose. She wore a shower
    bouquet of pink roses. The bridesmaid
    wore a frock of flowered georgette with
    a corsage of pink sweet peas.
    After a dinner at the home of the
    bride, Mr. and Mrs. Wethy left for a
    wedding trip to the Thousand Islands
    and Adirondack mountains after which
    they will be at home In Pekln, N. Y.

    SANBORN. May 22.-Mrs. Mary K
    Wethy. 57 years old. of Pekin, died today
    at the Memorial hospital, Niagara
    Falls, following an operation. Funeral
    services will be held from the home
    on Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock standard
    time with Interment in North Ridge
    cemetery.
    Mrs. Wethy Is survived by her husband.
    Fred, one daughter. Mrs, Ruth
    Petch, of Tonawanda, three sons. Eugene,
    of Pekln. and Roy and Floyd, both
    of Sanborn, two sisters. Miss Matilda
    Schrelber and Mrs. Louise Klopz, both
    of Houston, Texas, one brother, John
    Baker, of Brantford Heights. Calif., and
    five grandchildren.

    PEKIN. July 25.-Mrs. Sally J.
    Withy, 94 years old, formerly of this
    village, died Sunday at the home of
    the son of her late niece, Frances
    Duryea. Perry, N. Y. Funeral services
    will be held tomorrow from the
    home of her son, Fred G. Wethy,
    Hamburg, with interment in Warsaw.
    The deceased, who was well known
    In Pekin, was the mother of Fred G.
    Wethy, of that village, and Fred, of
    Hamburg. She is also survived by 10
    grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
    She was a member of the-
    Ladles Auxiliary of the G. A. R.
