    CAMBRIA — Donald J. Jagow, age 74, of Cambria, was called to his heavenly home on December 18, 2010 at his residence after a brief illness. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY, on January 11, 1936 to the late Henry and Mathilda (Rubbert) Jagow.

    He was retired from the Niagara Falls Air Force Base, working with the grounds and maintenance department for 25 years. Don attended the Niagara Community Church, and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Marlatt) Jagow, in 1993.

    Survivors include four children, Deborah L. (Timothy) Wynes of Cambria, Gary M. Jagow of Tonawanda, James Jagow of Amherst and Russell L. (Susan) Jagow of Pendleton; two brothers, Leonard Jagow of Villages, FL and Norman Jagow of Machias, NY; a sister, Helen Jagow of Niagara Falls; eight grandchildren, Justin and Jonelle Powley, Ashley Wynes, Samantha, Allison and James Jagow Jr., David and Adam Hagen; and many good friends and fishing buddies. He was also predeceased by a brother, Delbert Jagow.

    Friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, December 22 at 6:30 PM in the Niagara Community Church, 10500 Cayuga Drive Ext., Niagara Falls, NY. There will be no prior visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice or Niagara Community Church. Arrangements were by the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME.

    Henry Jagow Drops Dead While Inspecting Farm
    Henry Jagow, 55, dropped dead while making an inspection of his extensive farm on the Jagow road, Town of Wheatfield yesterday afternoon. Coroner H. C. Lapp of
    North Tonawanda investigated and gave the cause of death as heart disease. Jagow, a lifelong resident of the Town of Wheatfield, was accompanied by his nephew, Theodore Stoelting, residing on a neighboring farm, and had walked some distance when he complained of illness. He was about to sit down when he collapsed and died.

    WHEATFIELD - Mathilda Melvinie Ella Jagow (Rubbert), age 93, of Wheatfield, was called to her heavenly home on December 1, 2010 at her residence, with her loving family at her side and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in the Town of Wheatfield, NY on August 24, 1917 to the late Edward and Helena (Roggow) Rubbert. A devoted lifelong member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz, where she was active with the Ladies Aid, the Quilters and was employed as the custodian for the church and school for many years. She was also a member of the Wheatfield Senior Citizens and enjoyed fishing, playing dominoes, gardening and baking.

    She was predeceased by her husband, Henry E. Jagow on March 19, 1946. They were united in marriage January 24, 1934; and a son, Delbert Jagow.

    Survivors include four children, Leonard Jagow of Villages, FL, Donald Jagow of Niagara Falls, Norman Jagow of Machias, NY, and Helen Jagow of Niagara Falls; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

    Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Friday from 2-4 & 6-8 PM. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Philip N. Sallach on Saturday at 11:00 AM in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner Luther Street and Niagara Road. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Holy Ghost Lutheran Church.

    Born in Troupsburg, N.Y., he had
    been a resident of Tonawanda for
    the past 50 years and was the
    husband of the late Erma (nee
    Reinbolt) Marlatt. Mr. Marlatt had
    formerly been employed at National
    Grinding Wheel Co. Inc. and was a
    member of St. Paul Lutheran
    Church.
    He is survived by a daughter, Mrs.
    Donald (Patricia) Jagow, of North
    Tonawanda; a sister, Leatha Brush
    of Bath, NY., three brothers,
    Clayton Marlatt of Painted Post,
    N.Y., Spike (Alice) Marlatt of Osceloa,
    Pa. and George (Genevieve)
    Marlatt of Bath, N.Y. Also survived
    by four grandchildren; two greatgrandchildren
    and several nieces
    and nephews.
    There will be no prior visitation.
    Relatives and friends are cordially
    invited to attend a funeral service
    Sunday, August 31 at 1:00 p.m. at
    John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc.,
    Morgan and William Sts., Tonawanda.
    The Rev. Richard E. Pape will
    officiate. Burial will be in Elmlawn

    A quiet but pretty wedding was
    zolemnizeded on Saturday, Nov. 24 at
    four o'clock in Immanuel Lutheran
    church when Miss Erma Reinbolt,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank
    Reinbolt 155 Bouck street was united
    in marriage to Mr. Miner Marlatt
    Buffalo. The Rev. F. O.
    Scholz officiated.
    The bride wore a gown of Royal
    blue transparent velvet with black
    Buede slippers and a silver metallic
    hat trimmed in velvet. Her shoulder corsage
    was of gardenias.
    The bride's only attendant was
    her sister, Miss Isabel Reinbolt who
    wore wine colored yelvet with
    black suede slippers and a silver
    metallic hat. Her corsage was of
    yellow roses.
    Mr. Warren Russell of Buffalo attended
    the groom as best man.
    Following the ceremony a wedding
    supper was served to the
    immediate families.
    Among the pre nuptial affairs
    given for the bride, were a linen
    shower given by Miss Isabel Reinbolt,
    a variety shower by Mrs. Fred
    Zuhr and Miss Emma Wein, and a
    kitchen shower by Mrs. Charles
    Bo wen and Mrs. Edward Bailey of
    Buffalo.
    Mr. and Mrs. Marlatt will be at
    home after December 1 in 339
    Adam street.
