    NORTH TONAWANDA - LeGrand K. Forth, age 93, of North Tonawanda, January 3, 2011 in Kenmore Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of the late Margaret Forth who died in 2004. Mr. Forth was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and had retired from National Grinding Wheel. He was known for his carpentry work and he enjoyed bowling.

    Beloved father of Barbara (Philip) Bartels of Cleveland, OH, Thomas (Karen) Forth of Orchard Park and Janine (Lee) Turri of Wheatfield. Grandfather of Kelly Mooney, Dawn Prince, Scott and Rebecca Forth and Ashley Turri. Great-Grandfather of Jessica Mooney, Todd Mooney, Jr., Nicholas and Ava Prince. Brother of Ernest (Carol) Forth, Janet Grosskopf and the late Carl, Herbert, Paul and Edward Forth. Uncle of many nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc. ,1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd., in North Tonawanda on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM from St. Matthew Lutheran Church, the Rev. Gregory Schultz will officiate. Interment in St. Matthew Lutheran Cemetery. He was a lifelong resident of Wheatfield and was formerly employed by the Wurlitzer Co. for 51 years, retiring three years ago. Survivors include his widow, the former Ida Schultz; six sons, Carl Forth, Lockport. Edward Forth, Sanborn, LeGrand, Herbert Jr.,Paul, and Ernest Forth, all of this city ; a daughter. Mrs. Earl (Janet) Grosskopf, and a brother, Raymond Forth, both of this city. Services will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Brunner Funeral Home. Burial will be in Wheatfield Cemetery.

    Mrs. Ida Forth Dies At Age 71
    Mrs. Ida M. Forth, 71, of 4607 Mapleton Road, Town of Pendleton, widow of Herbert P. Forth who died in March of 1965, died unexpectedly Tuesday (Oct. 17, 1967) in DeGraff Memorial Hospital, North Tonawanda. Mrs. Forth was stricken with a heart attack at the home of one of her sons and taken by ambulance to the hospital, where she was pronounced dead on arrival. Born May 12, 1896 in the Town of Porter, she was a daughter of Ernest and Fredericka Schultz. She was a resident of the Town of Wheatfield for more than 50 years, and had lived at the Mapleton Road address for several years. She was a member of Beach Ridge Free Methodist Church. Surviving are six sons and a daughter, Carl Forth of Lockport, LeGrand, Herbert Jr., Paul and Ernest Forth, all of North Tonawanda, Edward Forth of Sanborn and Mrs. Earl (Janet) Grosskopf of Tonawanda; three sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Elizabeth Jacobs of Appleton, Mrs. Winifred Harrod of Barker, Mrs. Minnie Mcintosh of Tonawanda, Ernest Schultz of Newfane and Rudolph Schultz of Appleton; also 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Friends may call at the Pike & Jones Funeral Home, Sanborn, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 10 p.m. today and tomorrow, and Friday from noon to 2 p.m. at the Beach Ridge Free Methodist Church where funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. The Rev. The family will receive friends at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St., at Ward Rd., North Tonawanda today and until noon Tuesday. Services will take place in St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Tuesday at 1:30 p.m., the Rev. A. W.
