Agnes M. Wilke (nee Stahley) of the Town of Wheatfield, passed away on Friday, December 13th at age 87. She was born December 24, 1931, she was the daughter of late Mabel and Walter Stahley. Survived by her loving husband Eugene Wilke, 2 children: Cynthia (Kenneth) Brant and Timothy (Deborah) Wilke. 7 grandchildren: Kyle, Christopher, Timothy, Bradley, Tyler and 2 daughters of a predeceased daughter in law. Also survived by 1 great grandchild, Jayce Brant and many nieces, nephews and cousins whom she also loved dearly. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Wednesday from 4:00 – 6:00 PM. Miss Agnes M. Stahley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter
Stahley of East Amherst, became the bride of Eugene
J. Wilke of Shawnee Rd. Feb. 7 in St. Mary's Church in
Swormsville.
The bride's gown was fashioned
in Chantilly lace over lusterous
satin with winged collar, pointed
sleeves and basque bodice. The
Chantilly lace skirt over nylon
tulle was accented over a hooped
underskirt. She carried a cascade
of carnations.
A gold ballerina strapless gown
with tiers of white net was worn
by the maid of honor with matching
sweetheart bonnet and cascade
of red carnations. The bridesmaids
Misses Norma Grasen and Mary
Joan Stahley and Mrs. Gertrude
Pashorg wore peacock-blue gowns
with matching accessories.
Russel Oliver of Albany was
best man and John Churpital, Calvin
Stahley and Edward Hromowyk
were ushers. A reception was
given in Swormsville Fire Hall
after the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs.
Eugene Wilke will be at home in
Shawnee Rd.
