    Newfane, celebrated their
    50th wedding anniversary
    Nov. 30, at their home.
    Due to the illlness of Mr.
    Wilkins, a few friends and
    relatives spent a short time
    with the couple and they received
    many cards, flowers
    and phone calls,
    Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins were
    married in Lockport at the
    Plymouth Congregational
    Church by Dr. Albert Fitch.
    Mrs. Florence Wyman of
    Newfane was bridesmaid.
    The late Levi Goff was best
    man and flower girl was
    the present Mrs. Carl Keltenbacher
    of Newfane.
    Mrs. Wilkins is the former
    Ethel Goff, daughter of the
    late Mr. and Mrs. George
    Goff of Lockport.
    Mr Wilkins is the son of
    the late Mr. and Mrs. Augustus
    H. Wilkins of Newfane.
    Mr. and Mrs. Wilkins have
    lived most of their married
    lives in Newfane. Mr. Wilkins
    retired from the Lockport
    Felt Co. six years ago.
    They have one son, La-
    Verne, of New Brunswick,
    N.J.
    Mrs. Wilkins is a member
    of the Rebekahs and
    both are members of the United
    Methoddst Church.

    NEWFANE. Sept. 5.-Funeral services
    for August Wilkins. 74, Transit
    road farmer, were held from the home
    Monday afternoon the Rev. William
    Dallman, of Ridgewood Lutheran
    church, and the Rev. Carl S. Daul-
    phin, of Youngstown, officiating. He
    is survived by his wife, Ernestine, and
    was the father of five sons and
    three daughters, Fred, August, Mrs.
    Winella Goodlander, of Lockport,
    Willis, of Wilson. Elmer, of North
    Ridge, John and Mrs. Florence Wyman,
    of Newfane, and Mrs. Ruth
    Stern (deceased). Also surviving are
    three brothers. Louis and William, of
    Burt, John, of Wilson, and a sister
    Mrs. C. B. Korff, of Lockport. Interment
    was in North Ridge cemetery,
    grandsons being bearers.

    NEWFANE-A resident of town
    of Newfane for 60 years, Mrs.
    Ernestine Behnke Wilkins, 79,
    widow of Augustus H. Wilkins,
    died Tuesday evening at the home
    of her daughter, Mrs. Sumner F.
    Wyman, Transit Road, after a long
    Illness.
    Born In Germany, Mrs. Wilkins
    came to this country with her parents
    at the age of 11, first living
    in St. Johns-burg and later in North
    Ridge. Her residence in Newfane
    dates from her marriage. She has
    made her home with Mrs. Wyman
    since the death of Mr. Wilkins 12
    years ago. She was a member of
    St. John's Lutheran Church. Mrs.
    Wilkins is survived by five sons and
    two daughters: Fred, Lockport;
    Willis, Wilson; Elmer, Ransomville;
    John and August, Newfane; Mrs.
    Winella Goodlander, Lockport and
    Mrs. Wyman.
    Services will be held Friday at 2
    o'clock at the Wyman home and
    will be conducted by the Rev. William
    H. Dallmann. Burial in North
    Ridge Lutheran Cemetery
