    NIAGARA FALLS — Niagara Falls - Wm. Hurk Taylor, age 77, of Cabot, AR, was called to his heavenly home on January 21, 2011 in Little Rock, AR. Born June 30, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY to the late Hurk and Dorothy (Meitz) Taylor. He has donated his body to the University of Arkansas - Medical Sciences.

    He graduated from Wilson Central High School in 1950 and went on to college at River Forest, Chicago, Illinois. He taught school at St. Andrew's Lutheran School, Pekin, NY (grades 1 - 8) and in the Niagara Falls School District. He was a boy scout leader, loved reading, history and birding.

    Survivors include his wife, Judith (Cunard) Taylor; three children, Christine Glasgow, Buffalo, David (Lori) Taylor of Fort Collins, CO, Kathleen (Daniel) Slingbaum) of Cabot, AR; grandchildren, Marci (Michael) DeMartinis of North Tonawanda, Mindi Mietlicki of North Tonawanda, Nathaniel Taylor, of Little Rock, AR, Mariah Taylor of Loveland, CO; two great-grandsons, William and Nicholas DeMartinis of North Tonawanda; a brother, Kenneth (Marlene) Taylor of Olcott; three sisters, Joan (James) Wilkesmore of Youngstown, NY, Karen (Duane) Ferchen of Cheyenne, WY, Nora (John) Sprengart of Parrish, FL. Predeceased by a brother, Robert; and a son, Robert; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, a great-aunt; and dear friends, George and Ida Mae Waters of Wilson, NY.

    Mlss Dorothy Meitz, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Fred Meitz, this city was
    married to Hurk Taylor, formerly of
    Alymer, Ontario, son of Mrs. Grace
    Taylor. Mrs. Wilfred Paupst attended
    the bride, and Wilfred Paupst acted as
    groomsman. After a short honeymoon
    Mr. and Mrs. Taylor will reside In this
    city.

    CUNARD - Zellie C. Cunard,
    57, of 348 Delaware St., Tonawan-
    da, died Tuesday (Feb. 15, 1966)
    at DeGraff Memorial Hospital
    after a brief illness. Born in Jas-
    per County, Ga., Mr. Dunard had
    resided in this aarea 35 years, the
    last five in Tonawanda. He was
    employed at the E. I. DuPont Co.,
    Niagara Falls, for over 35 years.
    He was a member of First Pres-
    byterian Church in tonawanda,
    F&AM LaSalle Lodge, and the
    25-Year Club of the DuPont co.
    Surviving are his wife, Lillian
    Drake Cunard; a daughter, Mrs.
    William Hurk Taylor of Sanborn,
    N.Y.; four grandchildren; and
    three sisters, Mrs. Hubert A.
    Jackson of Tonawanda and Mrs.
    Harvey Hodges and Mrs. Otis
    Parish Sr., both of Covington, Ga.
    Friends may call until 9 this eve-
    ning(Tuesday) at the Hamp Fu-
    neral Home Inc., Adam-Seymour
    Streets, Tonawanda. The body
    will be sent to the J. C. Har-
    well and Son Funeral Home in
    Covington, Ga., where services
    and burial will take place. A Ma-
    sonic memorial service will be
    conducted this evening at the fu-
    neral home.

    CUNARD - James Clark Canard.
    85, of 48 Elm St., Tonawanda,
    died Tuesday (Nov. 5, 1957)
    after a lingering illness. Born in
    Monticello, Ga., he had resided in
    Tonawanda for the past two years.
    He was a member of Rock Creek
    Baptist Church at Eudora. Ga.,
    and of Eudora Lodge 570, F&AM,
    of which he was a past president.
    Surviving are three daughters.
    Mrs. Harvey Hodges and Mrs.
    Otis Parish, both of Covington,
    Ga., and Mrs. Hubert Jackson of
    Tonawanda; two sons, John C.
    Cunard of Baton Rouge, La., and
    Zellie Cunard of Niagara Falls.
    N.Y.; 17 grandchildren; 28 great
    grandchildren, and two sisters,
    Mrs. Sam Potts and Mrs. Bessie
    Davis. The body was sent to Cov-
    ington, Ga., and services will be
    held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the
    Rock Creek Baptist Church.
