    BUFFALO — Gary W. Brenon, age 58, of North Tonawanda and formerly of the City of Tonawanda, unexpectedly, Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at Buffalo General Hospital. A lifelong resident of the Tonawandas, he was a 1970 graduate of Tonawanda High School and was an avid blood donor for the American Red Cross. Gary was employed as a machinist at Kittinger Furniture and also for R.A. Miller Hardwood for 18 years, and was presently employed in Food Service at DeGraff Memorial Hospital.

    He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Kathleen M. (nee Beckett) Brenon; two children, Kevin (Lisa) Brenon of North Tonawanda and Debra (Steven) Tokarczyk of Pendleton; four grandchildren, Jacob and Zachary Brenon, Kiera and Brenon Tokarczyk; five sisters and four brothers, Robert (the late Donna) Brenon, Barbara (the late Jerry) Dumais, Gerald (Kaye) Brenon, Duane (Kathy) Brenon, Jeffrey (the late Lynn) Brenon, Nancy (Ronald) Richau, Beverly Brenon, Bonnie Brenon and Brenda (Kevin) Brenon-Dupont. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Friends may call Sunday only from 4-8 PM at John O. Roth Funeral Home, Inc., 25 William St. (between Morgan & Broad Sts.), in Tonawanda. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Monday in St. Francis of Assisi Church, 150 Broad St., in Tonawanda, by the Rev. Michael Uebler. A private burial will be in Elmlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, 300 Delaware Ave., Suite 101, Buffalo, NY 14202.

    Large vases of white gladioli, peonies and snapdragons
    decorated the altar of St. Francis of Assisi Church on Saturday,
    July 5 at 10 a.m. for the marriage of Miss Alberta
    M. Brock, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert W. Brock of 72
    Longs avenue, to Robert H. Brenon, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    Wilbert A. Brenon of 355 Utica street. The Rt. Rev. Msgr.
    John A. Weismantel officiated at the double ring ceremony.
    Miss Louise Bacon sang the
    nuptial mass accompanied by her
    mother, Mrs. William Bacon at
    the organ.
    Given in marriage by her
    brother, Lionel Brock, the bride
    chose a gown of white marquisette
    with low neckline, and short puffed
    sleeves, trimmed with rose
    point lace. Her fingertip veil of
    illusion fell from a tiara of seed
    pearls. She wore long net gloves
    and carried white carnations and
    delphinium centered with gardenias
    in a cascade bouquet. A
    single strand of pearls completed
    here costume.
    Miss Marian Harman, maid of
    honor for her cousin, wore a
    gown of delicate pink and carried
    a cascade of red carnations and
    Japanese lilies with matching lilies
    in her hair.
    John C. Brenon was his brother's
    best man, and his cousin, Edward
    Brenon, and brother-in-law,
    John E. Ward were ushers.
    The mother of the bride was
    attired in a brown and white print
    dress with brown accessories and
    the bridegroom's mother wore a
    black and white silk jersey dress
    with white accessories. Their corsages
    were of gardenias and pink
    roses.
    Breakfast for the bridal party
    in the home of the bride's parents
    was followed by a reception
    in the evening at Fangers.
    For traveling, the bride wore
    a brown suit with white accessories
    and gardenias. After a
    wedding trip to Washington, D.
    C. and points East, Mr. and Mrs.
    Brenon will be at home in Utica
    street
    Out of town guests were Miss
    Cora E. Brenon, sister of the
    bridegroom and Mr. and Mrs.
    John W. Winship of Detroit Mrs.
    John E. Ward, the bridegroom's

    Delores (nee Doebler) Beckett, 44, of 141 Delton Street, Tonawanda, died Tues July 23rd 1957 in the E J Meyer Memorial Hospital in Buffalo after a brief illness. Born in North Tonawanda, Mrs Beckett resided for the greater part of her life in Tonawanda. She was a member of St Francis Church and the Mothers Club of St Francis School. Her husband the late George Beckett died in Aug of 1952. She is survived by five daughters, Mrs Richard Barth of Buffalo and the Misses, Mary Louise, Judith Rose, Kathleen Marie and Carol Theresa Beckett and four sons, John J, George R, David J and James E Beckett all of Tonawanda, a granddaughter, Deborah Lynn Barth of Buffalo, her mother Mrs Louise Doebler, a sister Mrs Hyrum Hayes and a brother Lavern Doebler all of the Tonawanda's and another brother, Wilbert Doebler of Wilson, NY. Friends may call at the Hamp Funeral home, 37 Adam St Tonawanda where a service will be held at 9:30 am Friday followed by a Requiem High Mass at St Francis Church at 10:00 am. The Rev Wilbur Yeager will officiate, Burial in Mt Olivet Cemetery.

    NORTH RIDGE, Nov. 9-A pretty
    Fall wedding was solemnized at
    11 o'clock on Saturday morning,
    November 2, at Sacred Heart church
    in Niagara Falls, N. Y., when Miss
    Delores Bertha Doebler, daughter of
    Mrs. Louise Doebler of North Ridge,
    became the bride of George H.
    Beckett, son of Mr. and Mrs. David
    Beckett of Buffalo.
    The bride was charming in a becoming
    gown of brown crepe, with
    brown velvet turban and other
    brown accessories. She carried an
    arm bouquet of large yellow chrysanthemums
    tied with tulle.
    Mlas Marie Beckett, sister of the
    groom, was maid of honor, wearing
    green crepe with matching accessories,
    she also carried yellow chrysanthemums.
    Joe Reichlin attended
    the groom.
    Mrs. Doebler, mother of the bride.
    wore brown crepe with pink trimming,
    and Mrs. Beckett's gown was
    her of green crepe.
    A wedding dinner was served at
    the home of the bride at North
    Ridge to nineteen guests. Twelce
    were seated at the prettily appoint-
    ed bride's table while the others
    were seated at smaller tables.
    Among the dinner guests were
    Mr. and Mrs. david Beckett, Miss
    Betty Beckett, Miss Marie Beckett,
    Miss Lillian Nelson, Charles cham-
    bers, Joe Reichlin of Buffalo, Herb-
    ert Haulihan of Cleveland, Mr. and

    Mr. and Mrs. Beckett will reside
    at 1137 Pierce avnue in Niagara
    Falls.
    Pre-nuptial affairs given for the
    bride were a variety shower by Mrs.
    Doebler, a variety shower by the
    Warblow cousins at the home of
    Mrs. Lester Warblow in North
    Tonawanda, and a variety shower
    given by Miss Agnes McArthur of
    the Town Line road.
