    Miss Faith Emily Howland became
    the bride of Mr. Jay J, Rick at Trinity
    Toiled Methodist Church in Auburn
    on Saturday, August 16. The
    Rev. J. Russell Carpenter, uncle of
    the bride, officiated at the two
    o'clock ceremony.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Frederic M. Howland of
    Aurora, R.D., New York. The groom
    is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolf
    Rick of Tonawanda, New York.
    Giveft in marriage by her father,
    the bride wore a fitted A-line satin
    gown which was designed and made
    by her sister, Mrs. David B. White,
    Quilted satin floral appliques decorated
    the skirt aid detachable chapel
    length train. Her bouffant doubletiered
    French silk illusion veil was
    bekl by satin petals bedecked with
    seed pearls in a douche effect. She
    carried a cresent cascade bouquet of
    glamelias, carnations- and baby's
    breath.
    Mrs. David B. White of Scipio Center,
    sister of the bride, was matron
    of honor.Miss Susan Howland of Chicago,
    Illinois, sister of the bride.
    was maid of honor. Serving as

    bridesmaids were Mrs. Martin
    Wright-of Williamsville, N.Y., sister
    of the groom; Miss Elaine Jetty
    of Scipio Center; and Miss Nancy
    Withington of Watertcwn, N.Y.
    Mr. uavid Cilmore ot Williamsville,
    N.Y. was best man. Ushers
    were Mr. Roger Higgs of Casadaga,
    N.Y., Mr. Donald Cast of Waynesboro,
    Virginia, Mr. Charles Kluga
    of Tonawanda, N.Y., and Mr. David
    B. White of Scipio Center.
    Misses Diana and Pamela White,
    nieces of the bride, were flower
    girls, and Master Edward White,
    nephew of the bride, wa» ring bearer.
    Following the ceremony a buffet
    luncheon was held at She church. A
    rehearsal* dinner was given by the
    parents of die groom at Wood Acres,
    Auburn.

    Mr. Rick graduated from Tonawanda
    High School, received his B.S.
    in Civil Engineering at Clarkson
    College of Technology, Potsdam;
    'N.Y. He is .employed by .-the'Public
    Works. Depafteent of:'Swindell-
    dressler-'Company in Pittsburgh.
    . Following a wedding trip through
    the-Catskill and Pocono Mountains,
    the couple will raake their'home in
    Pittsburgh.

    delightful parties before her marriage
    April 3 to Mr. Rudolf Rick
    of Buffalo, Last evening Miss
    Theresa Gromlovits of 259 Miller
    street entertained at a one gift
    shower in Miss Williams honor
    with cards as a feature of the entertainment,
    and the prize winners.
    Miss Iona Wilson and Miss
    Leetta Ziemendorf.
    Luncheon was served from a
    table attractively decorated in
    green and white with streamers
    suspended from the center chandelier
    to the four corners. The
    centerpiece was a bouquet of
    snapdragons and dainty green favors
    were added adornments.

    Delaware St., Tonawanda, cele
    brated its 50th wedding anniversary
    at a family party at Lyon's
    Countryside Inn, Clarence Center
    Mr Rick and the former Elizabeth
    Williams, daughter of the late Mr
    and Mrs. Jerome Williams, were
    married April 3, 1936, in Grace
    Lutheran Church, North Tonawanda.
    Mr. Rick is retired from Remington
    Rand.
    They have four children: Mrs
    Larry (Martha) Wicksell of Plantation,
    Fla.; Mrs. Martin (Helen
    Mary) Wright of Williamsville; Mrs
    Roger (Carol) Higgs of Cassadaga,
    and Jay J. Rick of Farmington Hills,
    Mich.
    They also have four grandchildren:
    Jennifer and Andrew Rick
    and Karen and Kristen Wright

    WILLIAMS - Jerome Williams,
    74, of 276 Tremont St., North Ton-
    awanda, died unexpectedly Fri-
    day evening (Oct. 24, 1958) at his
    home. He was born in Tanners-
    ville. Pa., and had lived in North
    Tonawanda 41 years. He was pres-
    ident of the Bennett Lumber Corp.
    Mr. Williams was a member of
    Grace Lutheran Church ; a mem-
    ber and past master of Suther-
    land Lodge 826, F&AM; past dis-
    trict depeuty of the Niagara-Or-
    leans District, and a member of
    Tonawanda Commandary 78, KT,
    Tonawanda Chapter 278, RAM, Is-
    malia Temple of the Shrine in Buf-
    falo, Tonawanda Shrine Club,
    Electric City Lodge 663, IOOD,
    and the Rotary Club of the Ton-
    awandas; director of the Niagara
    Savings and Loan Association,
    and treasurer of the St. John's
    Home for children.
    Surviving are his wife, Eliza-
    beth Hittinger Williams; one son,
    Edgar R, of the Town of Tona-
    wanda; one daughter, Mrs. Ru-
    dolf Rick of Tonawanda; two
    brothers, Philip of Stroudsburg,
    Pa., and Bernard of Philadelphia,
    Pa., and five grandchildren.
    Friends may call at the Wat-
    tengel Funeral Home, 307 Oliver
    St., North tonawanda, where
    services will be held at 2 p.m.
    Monday. The Rev. Herman B.
    Miller will officiate. Burial in Ac-
    acia Park. Masonic memorial
    services will be held at 8 p.m.
    Sunday at the funeral home. In
    lieu of flowers contributions may
    be made to the Memorial Fund of
    Grace Lutheran Church.
