NEWFANE — Edna A. Pipiles, of Newfane, NY, wife of Diamond Pipiles, entered into rest on Saturday, June 4, 2011 in Largo Medical Center, Florida. She was born in Lockport, NY, on February 21, 1933, the daughter of the late William and Bessie Thiemke Mittelstadt.

They moved to Newfane in 1967 from Lockport and have owned and operated Pipiles Farm since 1967. Edna and Diamond have wintered in Florida since 1997. She enjoyed reading, crafts and baking wedding cakes and cross word puzzles. She also was very artistic with anything that Edna crafted. Edna was known for her hard work at the farm stand on Lockport-Olcott Road.

Mother of Ernest (Vadonna) of Wilson, Deborah (Claude Woolley) Pipiles of Gasport, Diamond (Nancy) of North Dakota, William (Margie) of Newfane, Karen (Alex) Andrews of Grand Island, Edward and Matthew Pipiles, both of Newfane and the late Connie Weir. Mother-in-law of Alan Weir of Newfane. Sister of Annajean Zdrojewski, Edward Mittelstadt, Mabel Howes, Ethel Edmister and the late William and Willard Mittelstadt. Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2670 Main St., Newfane, NY on FRIDAY from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on SATURDAY at 1:00 PM at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY. Burial will be in Corwin Cemetery, Newfane, NY. Memorials to Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7147 Ridge Road, Lockport, NY, would be appreciated by the family.
