The marriage of Miss Betty Hollis,
of Bingham ton. N. Y.. and Seaman
Robert H. Winker, who ls stationed
at Sampson Naval Training School,
near Geneva, N. Y.. was solemnited
Saturday, July 24. in the High
Street Methodist church, Bingham-
ton, N. Y., with the Rev. Fred E.
Lou officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. Ralph H. Hollis. of Blnghamton,
N. Y., and the bridegroom
ls the son of Mr. and Mrs. Herman
C. Winker, of this city.
White satin bodice with full skirt
of white marquisette was worn by
the bride. Butterflies of lace and
a pattern in seed pearls added
charm to the gown. Her Juliet
cap held her soft illusion veil. Her
bouquet was of white carnations,
roses and bouvardla.
Miss Lucile Hollis, sister of the
bride and her,, maid of honor, and
Miss Dorothy Fitzgerald, of Endlcott,
N. Y.. and Mrs. Thelma Allinson,
of this city, sister of the bridegroom,
as bridesmaids, wore gowns
on similar lines; the same design
as that of the bride's gown. Miss
Hollis In yellow bodice of taffeta
and full skirt of net and Miss
Fitzgerald and Mrs. Allinson, one
in yellow and one In pink. The
maid of honor carried a bouquet of
Talisman roses with matching headdress
and the bridesmaids carrying
bouquets of yellow roses with headdresses
of the same flowers.
Martha Lee Crawford, niece of
the bride, as flower girl, wore a pink
taffeta frock with a colonial bouquet.
Mr. Thomas P. Winker, of this
city, was best man for his brother,
with Mr, Jack Dacey and Mr. Clarence
Knapp, Jr., cousins of the
bridegroom, from this city, were
the ushers.
Seaman Robert H. Winker and his
bride left on a trip through the
Thousand Islands.
