    the campus of Xavier
    University, Cincinnati,
    was the scene of the
    wedding of Miss Joan
    Winter and Thomas J.
    Allen.
    The Rev. Raymond Haun
    officiated at the nuptials
    Jan. 30, 1960, uniting the
    daughter of Mrs. Edward V.
    Winter, Cincinnati, and the
    late Mr. Winter, and the
    son of Harland G. Allen Sr„
    10th St., and the late Mrs.
    Allen.

    ESCORTED to the altar
    by her brother, James E.
    Winter, the bride wore a
    cathedral-length gown of
    bouquet taffeta with a bodice
    of Alencon lace and
    seed pearls.
    The Alencon lace extended
    past the waist in three
    tiers to the middle of the
    skirt.
    A pillbox hat caught her
    veil of illusion silk, and she
    carried a bouquet .of white
    gardenias centered with
    pink camellias.

    MISS PATRICIA Dewey
    was maid of honor, while
    Miss Mary Alice Jorling and
    Mrs. Walter Hullemeyer
    were bridesmaids. Each was
    gowned in African - violet
    velvet, styled with fan-pleated
    lace over pleated tulle
    sleeve flounces.
    Each wore a matching
    headband and carried a bouquet
    of pink sweetheart
    roses and pink camellias.

    HARLAND G. Allen Jr.
    was best man for his brother.

    Guests were seated
    by Richard Tavano and
    John Costigan, brothers-inlaw
    of the bridegroom,
    James Leo and Steven
    Rasso.
    A wedding breakfast was
    held after the Nuptial Mass
    at the Hotel Alms.
    The bride was graduated
    from Our Lady of Cincinnati
    College. A graduate
    of Bishop Duffy High
    School, Mr. Allen is a senior
    at Xavier University.

    Mrs. Margaret Allen (nee Duher)
    444 Tenth St., died last night. (Jan.
    4, 1956) in Memorial Hospital after
    an illness of several weeks.
    _ Mrs. Allen was a native of this
    city and had resided here all her
    life. She attended St. Mary's School.
    A charter member of the Oblate
    Guild of Bishop Duffy High School,
    she was a member of its Mothers'
    Club and of the Altar and Rosary
    Society of Our Lady of Lebanon
    Church.
    Surviving are her husband. Harland
    G. Allen; two sons, Harland
    G. Allen Jr. and Thomas G. Allen;
    two daughters, Mrs. John Costigan
    and Mrs. Richard L. Tavano; three
    grandchildren; and four sisters, Mrs.
    John B. Wilson, Mrs. Paul Ryan,
    Mrs. Richard T. Argy, all of Niagara
    Falls, and Mrs. Nelson H. Jackson,
    Larchment, N.Y. She was the
    sister of the late James Duher.
    Members of the Altar and Rosary
    Society will recite the Rosary
    at 8 p.m. tomorrow and members
    of the Mothers' Club, at 9 p.m., at
    the Otto Rcdanz Funeral Home.
    Funeral services will be held at
    8:15 a.m. Saturday at the funeral
    home and, at 9 o'clock at Our Lady
    of Lebanon Church. Burial will, be
    in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.

    and three step-children, Mrs. Hazel and
    Harold Mangold at home and Donald Mangold of Lockport, also three brothers,
    two sisters, Frank of Niagara Falls, N.
    Y., Charlie of Thorold, Ont., George of
    Hawksburg, Ont., Mrs. Wm. McNutty,
    Thorold and Donah of California. The
    deceased was an active member of the
    Knigths of Pythias, A. F. M. of LaSalle
    and Loyal Order of Moose. Services to be held at 3 o'clocl Tuesday afternoon at
    the home. Burial at Lake View cemetery,
    Thorold, Ont.
