Leslie Charles Sanford of Lockport entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 3, 2016 at Eastern Niagara Hospital. He was born October 15, 1929 in Lockport, the son of the late Myron and Helen Sanford.

He was an avid bowler and sports fan. He was married 44 years to the late Lewetta Sanford.

He is survived by his children, Patricia Stoddard (Clarence), Nancy Hummel (Steve), Lori Piscicelli (Nicholas), and Judy Michaels. His grandchildren; Cheyenne Rhodes, Tracey Linderman, Scott Stoddard, Matthew Stoddard, Joni Janis, Christy Hummel, Michael Madson, and Christopher Madson. He is also survived by a sister, Rita Myers, several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday January 9 at 11am. It will be held at the Emmanuel Methodist Church, corner of Washburn St and East Ave in Lockport. There will be no prior viewing. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the charity of your choice.

LOCKPORT-Funeral services
will be held Wednesday
for Myron L. Sanford, 57, of
327 Hawley St.. who died
Saturday (July 21, 1962) at
Fort Erie, Ont.
Mr. Sanford had been at-
lending the races at the Fort
Erie track at the time he
suffered a fatal heart attack.
He was pronounced dead by
a physician.
° Born in Vorea, N. Y., he
hid lived here most of his
life. He was a member of the
U.A.W. Local No. 686 and employed
as a fireman with the
Flint Kote Company here for
15 years.
Surviving are his widow,
Mrs. Helen V.,(Zapp) Sanford;
ldaughters, M r s . J o h n
Dray, Mrs. Emmett Myers;
a son, Leslie C. Sanford; two
sisters, Mrs. Charles Hollowell,
Mrs. William Reese; a
brother. Robert A. Sanford,
all of this city; and five
grandchilren.
Rev. Keith Tennis will con
duct services at 2 p.m.
Wednesday at the Lange Funeral
Home, Lockport. Burial
will be in Glenwood Cemetery

Myron married ZAPP, Helen V about 1929. Helen (daughter of ZAPP, John P and SAND, Anna) was born on 29 Feb 1908 in New York; died on 13 Mar 1966 in Lockport Memorial Hospital, Lockport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

LOCKPORT-A lifelong Lockport
resident, Mrs. H e l e n V.
Sanford, 58, of 327 Hawley St.,
died Sunday (March 13, 1966) in
Mount View Hospital after a
long illness.
Mrs. Sanford was born in
Lockport Feb. 29, 1908, daughter
of John and Anna Zapp.
She was the widow of Myron
Sanford, who died in 1962. Mrs.
Sanford was a former employe
of Harrison Radiator Division,
General Motors Corp, and a
member of St. Mary's Church.
Survivors include two daughters,
Mrs. John (Doris) Dray
and Mrs. Emmett (Rita) Myers,
both of Lockport; a son,
Leslie C. Sanford, Lockport;
two brothers, Leo and George
Zapp, both of Lockport, and
six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 8:30
a.m. Wednesday at the Lange
Funeral Home. A Requiem
Mass will be celebrated at 9
a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's
Church. Burial will be in St.
Mary's Cemetery.

LOCKPORT, July 17. - Mrs.
John P. Zapp, 83, of 399 East
Union street, died last evening
at her home. Born in Germany,
Mrs. Zapp came to this, country
whea a girl, locating in this city.
She was a member of Si. Mary's
church and its Altar and Rosary
society.
Surviving are three daughters,
Mrs. Elizabeth Sullivan, vAstoria,
Long Island, Mrs. Albert Nagel
and Mrs. Myron Sanford, both of
this city; three sons, John, George
and Leo, all of Lockport, and a
brother, George Anna, Lockport.
Services will be held Monday at
8:30 a.m. at the Gaul Funeral home
and at" 9 o'clock" at St." Mary's
church. Interment will be in St.
Mary's cemetery.
