    An heirloom pin was worn on the Alencon
    lace bridal gown of Miss Linda Ann Zastrow
    when she became the bride of Douglas Joseph
    Robinson at 4 o'clock this afternoon, Oct. 3,.
    1970, in St. John Lutheran Church.
    Baskets of white carnations and
    chrysanthemums and purple asters were on
    the altar. The Rev. Clarence Rabe performed
    the nuptials.
    The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Edward Zastrow of 3722 Moyer Road, North
    Tonawanda. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Robinson of
    Buffalo are the parents of the bridegroom.
    The Victorian bridal gown of beaded lace
    and organza was fashioned with a detachable
    chapel length train. A petal coiffure lace cap
    held her bouffant veil.
    Miss Susan Kropp was maid of honor for her
    aunt. Bridesmaids were Miss Janis Robinson,
    sister of the bridegroom, and Miss Laurie
    Sprenger, Miss Cynthia Sprenger and Miss
    Patricia Kropp, all three nieces of the bride.
    Leona Penvose was flower girl.
    They were attired in identical violet crepe
    gowns trimmed with ivory lace. They wore
    matching headpieces of lace and velvet
    ribbon.
    Richard Stebbins was best man. Ushers
    were Robert Carey and Russell Kropp,
    nephew of the bride. Robin Zastrow, also a
    nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
    A reception was given in Adams Fire Hall,
    North Tonawanda.
    The couple will be at home in Wheatfield
    Street* North Tonawanda, Oct. 19, after a
    wedding trip to the New England States.

    night at a surprise dinner in
    celebration of their 50th
    wedding anniversary
    The dinner, given at the
    Union Station. Lockport. was
    hosted by the couple's children
    and their spouses: Mr and
    Mrs. Elton Kropp of Wilson,
    and Mr and Mrs Kenneth
    Sprenger. Mr. and Mrs
    Richard Zastrow and Mr. and
    Mrs Douglas Robinson all of
    North Tonawanda.
    Mr and Mrs Zastrow will
    also be honored at a party
    Saturday in Adams Fire
    Company hall by friends and
    relatives.
    Mr Zastrow retired in 1973
    from The Wurlitzer Co. in
    North Tonawanda where he
    was employed for 50 years.
    They are members of St.
    John Lutheran Church, where
    Mr. Zastrow and the former
    Clara Heschke were married

    by the late Rev J.W
    Thiemecke Attending last
    night's festivities were the
    Rev Rolf Buchmann. pastor of
    St John, and Mrs. Buchmann.
    The couple also belong to the
    Wheatfield Senior Citizens and
    Adams Fire Company and
    Auxiliary. They were honored
    at a dinner Friday by the
    members of the auxiliary.
    They have nine grandchildren:

    Kropp. stationed in Okinawa:
    Mrs. Susan Holls of Fitchburg.
    Mass.; Patricia Kropp. Laurie
    and Cindy Sprenger. Ross.

    The funeral services for Mrs. Rose
    Zastrow (nee Huebner) were held
    Friday afternoon from the home on
    the Buffalo-Niagara' Falls boulevard
    at 2:30 o'clock and half an hour later
    from St. John's church on the Ward
    road. The Rev. Walter Thiemecker
    officiated. Burial was in St, John's
    cemetery.

    Buffalo Express, Aug 18, 1922
    William F. Heschke, 54 years old, a Wheatfield farmer living on the Nash road, was found dead at his home shortly before noon today by his wife. Coroner J. E. Helwig was notified. Death was attributed to heart disease. Mr. Heschke did not feel well this morning when he arose so he did not work on the farm as usual. Mrs. Heschke went to the city market with a load of produce. When she returned shortly before noon, she found her husband dead in bed. Besides his widow, Heschke leaves a son, Edward Heschke, and four daughters, Misses Clara and Leona Heschke and Mrs. William Andres and Mrs. Arthur Harder of the town of Wheat held. The funeral will be held at the family home at 2 o'clock on Sunday afternoon and a half hour later in the Saint John's Lutheran church at Saint Johnsburg. Burial will be in North Ridge cemetery.
