    NORTH TONAWANDA. Jan. 25. - Mrs. Bertha K. Witkop (nee Werth). 47 years old. Upper Mountain road. Town of Cambria, died Saturday evening after a prolonged illness. She was bom in the Town of Wheatfield and had lived there and in Cambria all her life. She leaves a husband, August C., a daughter Carolyn: two sons. George and Hubert, at home: four sisters. Mrs. George Witkop, Mrs. Edward Witkop, Cambria. Mrs. William Hagen, Mrs Edward Lemke, Nashville, and a brother, Alfred Werth. Nashville services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and at 3 o'clock at the St. Paul's Lutheran church, North Tonawanda. Rev. A. F. Hinners will conduct the services and burial will lie in St. Paul's cemetery

    SANBORN. Feb. 19.—Christian F.
    Witkop, aged 82, died at the home of
    his son. August Witkop. on the Moun-
    tain road late yesterday of apoplexy.
    He Is survived by one daughter. Mrs.
    Emma Strasburg, of North Tonawanda.

    from the home of his son, August, on

    PEKIN, Oct. 24 - A double funeral
    that of Mrs. Fredericka Witkop and
    that of Mrs. Augusta Bruce, was held
    at the St. Andrew's Evangelical Luth-
    eran Church of Pekin, yesterday af-
    ternoon. Rev. Charles a. Schmidt of-
    ficiated. The services were held for
    Mrs. Bruce at 2 o'clock from the home
    of her son, Bertram Bruce and at 2:30
    o'clock for Mrs. Witkop from the home
    of her son, Augustus Witkop. The ser-
    vices at the church were conducted
    jointly at 3 o'clock.
    Friends and relatives had gathered
    in great numbers to pay the last re-
    spects to the deceased. Floral offer-
    ings were many and beautiful.
    Mrs. Witkop was ill only three weeks
    and succumbed to heart disease and
    old age. She was 80 years of age.
    She is survived by her husband, three
    sons and a daughter.
    Mrs. Bruce died Sunday afternoon
    after a lingering illness. She was 76
    years old. She is survived by two sons
    and two daughters.
    Mrs. Witkop and Mrs. Bruce were
    sisters-in-law and died within 20 hours
    of each other.
    Interment was in the Lutheran
    cemetery of Pekin.

    Mrs. Bertha Werth, 74 years old, wife of the late William Werth, died last night at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George Witkopf, on the Upper Mountain road, town of Cambria. She was born in Germany. For the past 62 years she had resided in St. Johnsburg and vicinity. Surviving are five daughters, Mrs. George Witkopf, Mrs. Edward Witkopf and Mrs. August Witkopf, Cambria, Mrs. William Hagen, St. Johnsburg, and Mrs. Edward Lemke, North Tonawanda; one son, Alfred Werth, North Tonawanda; ten grandchildren, one great grandchild and three sisters, Mrs. Alma Schroeder, and Mrs. Amelia Bendt, Wilson, and Mrs. August Mahl, St. Johnsburg. The funeral will be held Saturday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at the late residence and an hour later, standard time, at the St. John's church, St. Johnsburg. Rev. Walter Thiemke will conduct the services and interment will be in the St. John's cemetery.
