    was a pink and silver miniature
    sprinkling can filled with mints.

    Witkop, 86, died today (Jan.
    20, 1965) at the home of his
    daughter, Mrs. Mildred
    Lorenz, at 170 Ellicott Creek
    Road.
    He was a member of St.
    Mark's Lutheran Church and
    the Luther Laymen's League.
    His wife, Mrs. Anna Grefrath
    Witkop died 24 years ago.
    Besides Mrs. Lorenz, he is
    survived by another daughter,
    Mrs. Clarence (Pearl) Moel-
    ler, North Tonawanda; four
    sons, Walter a., and Edwin
    H., both of Wilson, N.Y., How-
    ard H. and Martin E. Witkop
    both of the Town of Tona-
    wanda; 12 grandchildren and
    four great-grandchildren.
    Friends may call until 10
    a.m. Friday at the Frethold
    Funeral Home where services
    will be conducted at St.
    Mark's Lutheran Church at
    2:30 p.m. by Rev. Loren
    Shiley. Burial will be in St.
    Mathew's Lutheran Cemetery.

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Mrs.
    Anna C. Witkop. 60, of 72 East
    Felton street, died Thursday night
    at her home. She was born ln Napoleau,
    O. A resident of the Gratwlck
    section of North Tonawanda
    the last 52 years, she was well
    known. She leaves four sons, Walter,
    Erwin, Howard and Martin;
    two daughters. Pearl and Mrs. Edwin
    Lorenz; four grandchildren, all
    of North Tonawanda and two
    brothers. John Grefrath, of North
    Tonawanda, and Edward Grefrath,
    of Alexandria, N. Y. Funeral services
    will be conducted tomorrow
    afternoon at 2 o'clock, ln the late
    residence and at 2:30 in the St.
    Mark's Evangelical L u t h e r an
    church, in Washington street. The
    Rev. Paul Fretthold will officiate.
    Burial will be in St. Matthew's
    cemetery.

    Mr. and Mrs. Albert H. Witkop
    of 72 East Felton street were
    pleasantly surprised last evening
    on the occasion of their thirtieth
    wedding anniversary The even-
    ing was spent with music and
    cards.
    Refreshments were served at a
    table centered with a gift bouquet
    of yellow chrysanthemums, with
    covers laid for twenty-five. Mr.
    and Mrs. Witkop received many
    beautiful gifts.
    Miss F. Hofmelster of Buffalo,
    who was a member of the original
    bridal party was among those
    present. Others who were attend-
    ants at t h e wedding included Mrs.
    Mary Thoman and Fred Fick.

    CHRISTOPHER MOELLER, FORMER NORTH SIDE CONSTABLE, DEAD Christopher Moeller, fifty-three years old, a former North Tonawanda constable and resident of the Gratwick section of the city for many years, died today at his home on the Ward road, St. Johnsburg, after a lingering illness. Moeller was born in Germany. He came to America fortv-four years ago and located with his family in North Tonawanda, where he resided until thirteen years ago when he removed to St Jonnsburg and engaged in the hotel business. He was a local member of the Orioles and Eagles and of the sick benefit associations of St. Johnsburg. Bergholtz, Martinsville and Wheatfield. Surviving are a wife, five sons. Edwin E. Moeller of Niagara Falls, Clarence H. Moeller of Johnsburg; Elton E.. Ervin H. and Frank P. Moeller of St Johnsburg, one daughter, Mrs. Gordis Knapp of Tonawanda; six grandchildren, four brothers. Charles, Frederick and William Moeller of North Tonawanda and August Moeller of LaSalle. and two sister, Mrs. Martzell of Germany and Mrs. Fred Grefrath of North Tonawanda. The funeral will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the residence and at 2:45 o'clock at the St. Peter's church, on Oliver street. Rev. Theadore Mueller officiating. Burial will be in the Messing cemetery on the Niagara Falls Blvd.

    Mrs. Emma K. Moeller, 77, died Saturday night in the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gordis E. Knapp, 116 Lin wood avenue, Tonawanda. A life long resident of Tonawanda, Mrs. Moeller was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Church. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Moeller is survived by 5 sons, Edwin of Lewiston; Clarence, Elton, Erving and Frank, all of North Tonawanda; 17 grand children and two great grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Mary Semper of Tonawanda. Funeral services will be held in the Knapp home, Wednesday at 2 p. m. and at St. Peters Church at 2:30 p.m., the Rev. J. J. Braun officiating. Burial will be Messing Cemetery

    SANBORN. Feb. 19.—Christian F.
    Witkop, aged 82, died at the home of
    his son. August Witkop. on the Moun-
    tain road late yesterday of apoplexy.
    He Is survived by one daughter. Mrs.
    Emma Strasburg, of North Tonawanda.
    three sons, August C. Witkop of' Pekin.

    Tonawanda. one brother. Henrv Wlt-
    kop. of Pekln. Funeral will be held
    from the home of his son, August, on
    Thursday at 2 p.m. and 2:30 from St.

    PEKIN, Oct. 24 - A double funeral
    that of Mrs. Fredericka Witkop and
    that of Mrs. Augusta Bruce, was held
    at the St. Andrew's Evangelical Luth-
    eran Church of Pekin, yesterday af-
    ternoon. Rev. Charles a. Schmidt of-
    ficiated. The services were held for
    Mrs. Bruce at 2 o'clock from the home
    of her son, Bertram Bruce and at 2:30
    o'clock for Mrs. Witkop from the home
    of her son, Augustus Witkop. The ser-
    vices at the church were conducted
    jointly at 3 o'clock.
    Friends and relatives had gathered
    in great numbers to pay the last re-
    spects to the deceased. Floral offer-
    ings were many and beautiful.
    Mrs. Witkop was ill only three weeks
    and succumbed to heart disease and
    old age. She was 80 years of age.
    She is survived by her husband, three
    sons and a daughter.
    Mrs. Bruce died Sunday afternoon
    after a lingering illness. She was 76
    years old. She is survived by two sons
    and two daughters.
    Mrs. Witkop and Mrs. Bruce were
    sisters-in-law and died within 20 hours
    of each other.
    Interment was in the Lutheran
    cemetery of Pekin.

    William J. Grefrath, 63 years old. a
    well-known resident of North Tonawanda,
    died at the home of his son,
    William Grefrath, at Charleston, S. C,
    last, night after a brief illness. Death
    was unexpected. The body will arrive
    here tomorrow morning.
    Mr. Grefrath and his son, Edward
    F. Grefrath of Chpiman Place, went
    to Charleston a fortnight ago. Last
    Friday, Mr. Grefrath was stricken and
    death followed yesterday. Mr. Grefrath
    was born in Germany and had
    lived here for about sixty years. He
    was a wood carver by occupation.
    having worked for Herscholl-Spillman
    company for many years, prior
    to his retirement.
    Besides his wife, one daughter,
    Mrs. Albert Witkopf of North Tonawanda;
    three sons, William of Charleston,
    S. C and Edwar/i and John
    Grefrath of North Tonawanda and
    one sister, Mrs. Gustave Snow of
    North Tonawanda, survive. Mr. Grefrath
    was the senior member of E.
    F. Grefrath & Company of North
    Tonawanda.
