Betty L. Zuch (Maerten) age 92, of North Tonawanda, December 19, 2020 in Elderwood @ Wheatfield following a lengthy illness. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Betty and her late husband Ed enjoyed boating and dancing. She also enjoyed bowling and monthly get-togethers with her friends from high school. She was the wife of the late Edwin G. Zuch. Beloved mother of Joanne (Erwin) Nordhausen and Thomas (Wendy) Zuch. Grandmother of Kelly (Daniel) Flynn, Julie (Scott) Maginn, Matthew (Jessica) Nordhausen, Daniel (Janani) Zuch. Great-grandmother of Hannah and Aidan Flynn, Jack, Shane and Maggie Maginn, Parker and Bailey Nordhausen. She was the sister of the late Jean Whipple; aunt of several nieces and nephews. No prior visitation, because of the current Covid conditions funeral services will be held privately. A video recording of the funeral service will be available at FrettholdFuneralHome.com, beginning on Wednesday, December 23rd. G. Zuch, son of Mr. and Mrs
Gerhard Zuch of 1821 Kingston
Ave. The Rev. Glllman Burghard
performed the ceremony.
Arnold Nuoffer. organist, accompanied
the soloist, Mrs. Rudolph
Bush the bride's aunt. Preceding
the ceremony she the sang "I
Love You Truly" and "Because".
and during the service, the hymn
"O' Perfect Love"
The bride, given in marriage by
nor father, wore a gown fashioned
in heavy traditional satin. The
shadow yoke accented by Venise
medallions and embellished with
sparkles, outlined the slim waistline
and long pointed sleeves. The
bouffant skirt with swirling gathers
and Venise lace medallions,
draped into a Cathedral length
train. Her veil, a fingertip illusion
with scalloped edge, was
caught to the coiffure by an orange
blossom clustered tiara and
she carried a cascade bouquet of
white roses and carnations can-
tered with an orchid corsage.
Miss Jean Maerten, mald-of-honor
for her sister, wore an aqua
satin gown, fashioned with a
sweetheart neckline and gathered
shoulderettes with matching mitts.
A bosque bodice was trimmed
with tiny buttons and the bouffant
skirt was scalloped and
worn over a net hooped underlining.
She worn a maline picture
hat and carried a cascade bouquet
of multi-colored c a r n a t i o n s,
daisies and sweetpeas.
The bridesmaids. Miss Patricia
Schweichler, Miss Dorothy
Schroeder, and Miss Myra Strong
were attired in gowns similar to
that of the maid-of-honor to orchid,
nile green, and maize. They
also wore matching picture hats,
mitts, and carried multi-colored
bouquets.
The flower girl, Kathleen
Schweichler, cousin of the bride,
had a pink taffeta hooped gown
with scalloped edge and trimmed
with blue bows. Her head-piece
was a matching bonnet and she
carried a basket of mixed flowers.
Donald Zuch attended his
brother as best man and the
ushers were Glen Nantke, Edward
Schweichler, Jr., and William
Morrison.
For her daughter's wedding.
Mrs. Maerten 'Chose a navy blue
lace dress with navy 'and pink
accessories. Mrs. Zuch, mother of
the groom, wore a navy blue marquisette
dress with navy and
white accessories. Both mothers
had corsages of white gardenias.

A reception was held to the
V.F.W. hall immediately following
the wedding.
Mr. and Mrs. Zuch left for a
wedding trip to Washington, D.
C, and New York City, the bride
wearing a gold suit and topper
with brown accessories and an
orchid corsage.
Showers were given by Mrs.
Philip Maerten, Miss Jean Maerten,
Miss Dorothy Schroeder, Mrs.
Gerhard Zuch, Miss Myra Strong,
and Mrs. Theodore Bingert
