    NIAGARA FALLS — Brian K. Burge, age 61, of Niagara Falls, was called to his heavenly home on March 30, 2011, with his loving family at his side, after he valiantly fought a battle with lung cancer, and under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY on April 11, 1949 to the late Elmer and Lorraine (Hasley) Burge. Brian graduated from Lew-Port High School in 1967. He served in the U.S. Army from 1969-1971 when he was honorably discharged. Brian was employed as a chemical operator at Goodyear in Niagara Falls. He enjoyed shooting pool, working the NY Times crossword puzzles, cooking special meals for the family and was a voracious reader of books and newspapers. Brian was a quiet man with a keen sense of humor and was greatly loved and admired by his family.

    Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Linda (Arone) Burge; a daughter, Christina (Nathan) Isgett of Taylors, SC; a son, Jeffrey Burge of Niagara Falls; brother, Curtis (Cindy) Burge of Niagara Falls; an aunt, Iris (John) Kuder and several cousins.

    Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass that will be celebrated on Saturday, April 2 at 10:00 AM in the Holy Family Parish, at the Mt. Carmel site, 2486 Grand Ave., Niagara Falls. Interment in St. Joseph's Cemetery. There will be no prior visitation. Arrangements were by the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME.

    Buffalo News, The (NY) - March 28, 1995. Services for Elmer G. Burge, a former process foreman for Hooker Chemical Corp., will be held at noon Wednesday in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in Dickersonville Cemetery. Burge, 75, of Callan Drive, died Saturday (March 25, 1995) in Veterans Hospital, Buffalo, after a long illness. He was born in Philipsburg, Pa., and moved to this area when he was 18. He was a member of the U.S. Marines for four years, serving in Nevada, CA, Samoa and the South Pacific. He worked for 40 years in the heavy chemicals department of Hooker Chemical, which became part of Occidental Petroleum during his employment. He retired in 1982. He enjoyed gardening and fishing and was a member of the Hooker Retirement Club. Survivors include his wife of 49 years, the former Lorraine Hasley; two sons, Brian and Curtis; a brother, William of Monongahela, Pa.; four sisters, Marie Fedak of Laurinburg, N.C., Jane Coggiano of Lake Forest, Calif., Louise Libby of Orono, Maine, and Beulah Muir of Philipsburg; and two grandchildren.

    Elmer married HASLEY, Lorraine Violet in 1955. Lorraine (daughter of HASLEY, Edward August and DAVEY, Winifred Ellen) was born on 29 Mar 1922 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY; died on 12 Jul 2004 in Niagara Falls, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    EDWARD A. HASLEY
    NIAGARA FALLS-Edward A. Hasley, 82, of 1841 Linwood Ave., died Sunday (Oct. 15, 1972) in Buffalo Veterans Administration Hospital after a long illness.
    Mr. Hasley was born in Tonawanda and lived here for the last 62 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War I in France and retired in 1958 from the Autolite Co. as a machinist. He was employed there for 37 years.
    He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Winifred Davey Hasley; a son, Roy A. Hasley of Sanborn; two daughters, Mrs. Elmer (Lorraine) Burge and Mrs. John (Iris) Kuder, both of Lewiston, and seven grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at St. Paul's Calvary Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Arnold W. Schneider officiating. Burial will be in St. Paul Calvary Lutheran Cemetery, Bergholtz. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and Tuesday 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Otto Redanz Funeral Home. The family said contributions to the St. Paul Calvary Lutheran Church would be acceptable as tribute.

    Winifred E. Davey Hasley, a former Sunday school teacher, died Monday (July 24, 2000) in St. Mary's Manor. She was 101.
    She was born in Cardiff, Wales, and came to the United States in 1912. She worked for Spirella Co.
    Mrs. Hasley was an active member of St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday school for 29 years and sang in the choir. She also was a member of the Ladies Endeavor Society and the Studio Group of Niagara Falls.
    Her husband of more than 50 years, Edward, died in 1972.
    Survivors include two daughters, Lorraine Burge and Iris Kuder, both of Lewiston; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
    Prayers will be said at 11 A.M. Wednesday in St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 18th Street at Cleveland Avenue. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Bergholz
